The Bellagio Apartments in Jersey Village is by far the most luxurious apartment complex in Houston. Its units are designed with classical architectural details, from the front door to the private patios. 

We’ve never seen an apartment as beautiful and well-designed as what this complex has to offer — and we’re not talking about the model unit. Every single unit features cast-stone fireplaces, gourmet kitchens, marble bathtubs, granite countertops, and more. 

These high-end designs also extend to the apartment’s amenities, which include a lush garden, fitness center, swimming pool with waterfall spa, and a clubroom, among others. Living here really brings that sense of community and luxury. 

Apart from its superior appearance, we also have good things to say about its security and maintenance. The complex is private and gated, with round-the-clock security personnel. 

All corners, from the entry gate to the corridors are well-maintained. The surroundings are always clean and we guarantee you’ll spot no pests anywhere in the complex. 

Considering everything we’ve mentioned so far, it’s evident that the management is doing its job right. They’re friendly and accommodating, making it easy for the residents to approach them for any concerns or inquiries. 

One point of improvement, though, is probably better communication between residents and the management. We noticed that announcements or updates are not communicated well by phone or email. 

Although it’s not a dealbreaker, we would appreciate it if management reached out more to really foster that sense of support and community.

Estancia San Miguel Apartments is a high-end apartment complex in Houston made for small families looking for a luxurious and resort-like place to live. We think its amenities are very appealing, some of which we’ve never seen in apartment complexes before. 

It has your average fitness center and pool, but we really like how the amenity area was designed to feel like you went on a vacation. Its pool deck looks like it was taken from an actual resort, with a cabana and some cooling areas for residents to enjoy. 

This apartment complex is very pet-friendly, which is definitely an advantage in our books. It even has a bark park where pets from different units can mingle and play. 

Estancia San Miguel Apartments is one of the pricier complexes in Houston. However, we think the amenities, unit interiors, and quality of living offset the steep rental prices. 

A step to a more futuristic and digitalized living experience, the apartment management has installed key-less remote entry into its units. While this sounds convenient, it can be problematic at times. 

We’ve experienced getting home from a tiring day only to find that our door codes wouldn’t work. And without the option to do it manually and use a key, we couldn’t get into our units and call it a day. 

This frustrating experience is even aggravated by the fact that there are limited security personnel making rounds at night. So residents are often left to fend for their own in these unfortunate situations. 

We think the management can do a much better job deploying security personnel to assist residents and of course, keep them safe at night. As a high-end apartment complex that’s occupied by families, they should really start making security a top priority.

San Brisas Apartment units are perfect for small to medium-sized families because of their welcoming interiors, built-in features, and included appliances. 

In fact, we think that you don’t need to purchase or bring any large furniture or appliances because everything is provided. The units come with stainless steel kitchen tools, cabinetry, shelving, mirrors, washers, and dryers — anything you could possibly need day in and day out. 

We hope, however, that the management improves their maintenance efforts. Given that all the furniture and appliances come with the apartment units, they hold the responsibility of ensuring that everything works and is properly fixed. 

Although we haven’t experienced it ourselves, some new residents have encountered broken fixtures and appliances upon moving in. The management should take the initiative of having appliances repaired and cleaning the unit before turning it over. 

Putting that con aside, optimal security is something that we really like about this apartment complex in Houston. Each unit also has its own built-in intrusion alarm to complement 24/7 complex security so that residents have more peace of mind. 

Couple that with a tight-knit environment built on community, this place really makes us feel at home, safe, and relaxed — the criteria of quality apartment living.

Alexan 5151 Apartments has been hailed as one of the best apartment complexes in Houston. Looking at its location, amenities, unit features, and community, we have no questions about why. 

Every apartment unit is designed to feel like home, with a well-thought-of and well-designed interior, a bounty of features for family living, and a variety of floor plans suited for small to medium-sized families. 

We really love how the management took every person’s design preferences into consideration, providing potential residents with the option of choosing between warm and cool color schemes for their unit interiors. 

Depending on your selected floor plan (either one-bedroom or two-bedroom), you may also be provided with top-of-the-line appliances such as wine chillers, kitchen islands, washers, dryers, a dry bar, and a mudroom. 

As if the in-unit features aren’t enough, Alexan 5151 also has several amenities for its residents to enjoy. Aside from the usual gym and swimming pool, there’s also a coffee bar, resident lounge, flex space, pet park, dog spa, and outdoor kitchens. 

Everything in this apartment complex is designed to foster a strong sense of community and enhance its residents’ quality of life. But we’re afraid a lot of these amenities and features have not been well-maintained. 

The management lists some apartment units on Airbnb — which is fine, for the most part. However, these are often booked for loud, late-night parties. 

The walls that separate each apartment unit are not as thick as we’d like, so residents are often bothered by loud music and shouting from Airbnb guests. 

With the family-friendly image that Alexan 5151 is trying to project, we think its Airbnb listings are a stark inconsistency. We would like them to make the complex a little more exclusive to its residents so there are fewer disturbances.

Everly Apartments promises luxurious living. On that end, we think that they deliver with their various amenities and unit features. 

Let’s start with the amenities, of which there are a lot for residents to enjoy. The complex takes it a step further than the average swimming pool and gym, providing desirable amenities such as a resident clubroom, courtyard, spin and yoga studio, co-working space, and dog park. 

We really like the hotel-like designs of its amenities — it almost feels like you checked into a hotel for a staycation! There’s a lot to do in this apartment complex and we rarely felt the need to go out to have fun or relax since everything was just a couple of floors down. 

But the amenities are nothing compared to the units themselves. Thoughtfully designed with comfort and elegance in mind, the units are spacious and look modern, perfect for younger residents. 

It has all the basic apartment amenities and more, coming with designer countertops, lighting fixtures, and appliances. When we walked in, we immediately felt at home and didn’t find the need to purchase new sets of appliances and furniture. 

Design-wise, Everly Apartments delivers to a T. But in the business of managing rental properties, design is nothing without proper and regular maintenance. 

And that’s where this apartment complex falls short. We noticed that hallways and amenity areas aren’t as properly maintained as they should be. 

Sometimes, corridors smell like trash and dust buildup can be spotted on floors. Although we didn’t experience it, some residents have complained about pests in their units and around the hallways. 

Ultimately, luxurious living cannot be achieved in a dirty and unmaintained apartment complex. With Everly Apartments charging more expensive fees compared to other apartment complexes in Houston, we think these maintenance problems shouldn’t even be there in the first place.

La Maison at River Oaks has sophisticated and modern units with chic interiors, and we’re here for it.

Their units include great amenities and features like elaborate ironwork balconies and patios, energy efficient stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, hardwood flooring, high ceilings, large garden tubs, luxurious walk-in showers, and so much more!

They have great community amenities like a world-class fitness center and resort-style swimming pools.

What we like is that they also have a great outdoor environment with four landscaped courtyards, an upscale clubhouse, and a spacious dog park.

We think they’re also located well as it’s close to Houston’s top attractions like The Galleria, Rice university, Texas Medical Center, downtown Houston, and Upper Kirby, to name some of them.

However, we’ve asked around and some those who used to live here said that the management is poor, as well as the security. They’ve reported a couple of burglaries in the apartments here.

We understand that security is one of the top concerns and it might be a turn-off to most, but if we’re only talking about the apartment itself, we think it would be a dream to live here!
