Pros
- WBENC-certified
- Large, colorful space
- Competitive non-member pricing
Cons
- Can get noisy at times
- Closes at 5 PM
When you first enter Sesh, the first thing you’ll notice is just how spacious and dynamic it is. It’s a beautifully furnished space that’s just as functional as it is pretty.
We absolutely love its colorful and vibrant aesthetic that’ll surely draw in plenty of creatives. But Sesh’s 20,000 square feet of space is still quite suitable for entrepreneurs, consultants and freelancers to use as an office space.
We also love that they have two different floors, namely The Parlor and The Loft, which specifically cater to different needs.
The Parlor has a large bookable event space, whereas The Loft offers more private offices and meeting rooms. When we asked the Sesh crew, they said that they can accommodate 100+ people in their event spaces which is very impressive!
We also like the fact that you’re free to move around the chairs and tables as you please to accommodate your own preferences! Other coworking we’ve been to have been known to be strict about moving around furniture.
However, those wanting a totally quiet space to work in may want to stay quite a distance away from Sesh’s meeting rooms. We found the soundproofing to be a bit lackluster as we heard a lot more noise than we expected.
What’s more, if you’re a night owl looking for a space you can work in until the early hours of the morning, look elsewhere. Sesh closes at 5 PM for non-members and charges a membership fee of $249 a month for 6 months if you want 24/7 access.
However, what gives Shesh an extra dash of charm is the fact that it’s a WBENC-certified business – meaning that Sesh is 51% owned and managed by women.
As an open and inclusive space, you can rest assured that you can work in peace without discrimination.
So if you’re looking for a coworking space that has a dynamic aesthetic and supportive community, Sesh is a great choice! With bistro-style seating, you can easily channel your creativity here, whether you’re plopped down on a sofa or sitting at a desk.

Pros
- Their free coffee is really good
- No “digital background” needed for online meetings
- Accommodating owner and lovely staff
- Perfect location for a coworking space
- Great aesthetics and is all in all a beautiful space
Cons
- The space can be a bit hard to find
- Space is a bit too small for a coworking space
- Complicated parking situation
One of the chicest places that we’ve ever visited, HUB HTX is one of the most wonderful coworking spaces in Houston we’ve ever been to!
First off, we do have to say though, that we had a bit of a hard time finding HUB. Although it’s on Google Maps it just blended in so well with other buildings that we got a little confused.
Parking situation is pretty confusing, too. Their parking space is across the street, which isn’t bad but they don’t exactly mention this detail.
Nevertheless, once we stepped inside, the first thing we noticed was the staff and the owner. They were such lovely people, we were practically beaming the entire time we were there.
What’s more, HUB HTX’s charm lies in its well-thought out design. Which makes sense, because as a cozy, boutique space, every inch of real estate counts!
The space gives off an industrial vibe with its open ceilings and slate flooring, but adds a touch of corporate with its glass private offices. It’s a bit cramped, but there’s a common area with a bar and kitchen with one of the best espressos we’ve ever tasted.
We also like that HUB HTX also offers a space for film producers and commercial shoots. Not only does this place offer a great backdrop for video projects, but serves as an awesome background for video calls as well! .
3.) Industrious Houston

Pros
- Clean space with professional staff
- Modern space that’s both cool and quiet
- Amenities are well-thought out
- Tons of space
- Healthy food options from the cafeteria
Cons
- AT&T reception can be dodgy
- Bathrooms have a pungent smell
With over 160 locations around the globe, Industrious at CityWest is a great spot for every entrepreneur out there – from solopreneurs to enterprises alike!
The color palette that they’ve chosen for CityWest is perfect for a coworking space in Houston. The white is the perfect backdrop for online meetings, and the muted pastels all over really break the monotony well and help you focus.
Unlike other coworking spaces, Industrious also has a dry cleaning service in house, so you can do two things at the same time. Finish your workload AND finish your laundry, all within one space.
But we’d be disingenuous if we just mention their dry cleaning. What we really like about Industrious is that they have a wellness space where you can decompress and relax after a stressful day at work.
Word of warning to AT& T users though – the reception can be a bit dodgy. Then again, Industrious’ Wi-Fi connection is fast enough, so that won’t be too much of a problem.
Their bathrooms, however, smelled a little bit off on our first visit. But it was much better the next time we visited, so it was probably just an isolated incident.
Industrious’ rooms are all spacious and efficiently designed. The break room feels cozy enough that it feels like you’re really taking a break.
They not only offer free coffee – but they occasionally throw in that free Rockstar energy as well! Perfect for those who have already built a tolerance for caffeine and need that extra kick!
And on the occasion that you do need that extra fuel, Industrious also has a canteen that offers really delicious and super healthy food options as well.
4.) The Work Lodge
Website: The Work Lodge
Address: 118 Vintage Park Blvd. Suite W Houston, TX 77070
Contact info: (844) 967-5563
Operating hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pros
- Amazing space with lots of variety in seating options.
- Plenty of services come in standard
- Solid Wi-Fi connection
- Place is really clean and is easily accessible
Cons
- Some meeting rooms offer little privacy
What differentiates The Work Lounge from other coworking spaces in Houston? Simple – they help change the world, one work space at a time.
The Work Lodge doubles as a non-profit organization called the FT5K. They have helped, and continue to help, people in Houston and around the world!
What we also love about The Work Lodge is that they have several spaces to choose from. From a vintage-style coffee shop vibe coworking space to a full-on 40-person suite, there’s something for everybody.
The Work Lodge also has a notary service in-house along with having Enterprise Grade Wi-Fi, which really helps them stand out.
However, if you’re looking for a deafeningly quiet space though, this isn’t the place for you. While it’s not noisy, there’s enough ambient buzz around to make you feel like you’re in an actual office.
What’s more, the meeting room that we booked seemed to lack soundproofing, as we were still able to hear a little bit of outside noise. But it wasn’t too distracting, so it wasn’t a big deal.
Even more, at The Work Lodge, what you pay on signing is what you’ll pay permanently. They don’t add anything after you sign, not the parking validation, nor the handling of your mail!
5.) The Workplace 1919
Website: The Workspace 1919

Pros
- Church building offers a different kind of peaceful atmosphere
- The Wi-Fi connection is faster than expected
- Other tenants are really kind
- The meeting room is significantly larger compared to others
- Free parking areas
Cons
- The rooms are way too spacious
We greatly appreciate The Workplace 1919’s atmosphere. It’s a church-building-turned-coworking space in Houston, and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.
Apart from the different vibe that we got, the first thing that you’ll notice straight away is the sheer amount of space. It’s way bigger compared to other coworking spaces in Houston.
The Workplace 1919 prides itself as being a “workspace with personality” – and we definitely think the stained glass windows and high arched ceilings give it that extra special touch.
Every working area here comes in fully furnished and ready, along with all the bobs and whistles you’d expect from a coworking space. Who knew these were hiding in an old church building?
We also appreciated that they have 24-hour security roaming the place, meaning that you can rest assured that the entire building is safe no matter what the time.
Their high-speed fiber optic internet is also significantly faster than we expected. There’s no connection loss, no matter where you go in the building.
There are also no parking fees involved, and you don’t need to validate your parking every now and then. And we can’t stress enough just how much money you can save from just that!
If we have a gripe with this wonderful space, it’s only that it’s way too spacious for us. It takes a significant amount of steps from one end of the room to another. But on the bright side, it’s really helpful to help me complete my 10,000-step goal for the day!
