Nestled in the lush Melrose neighborhood, Agora is a Greek-inspired haven waiting to be explored. The unassuming cafe looks like a regular 2 storey building covered in some vines and the shade of some trees. But, it’s one of the city’s best kept secrets.
It lives up to its name that translates to a gathering space with the warm ambiance that surrounds you when you’re there. The entire interior is made up of hardwood floors, wooden walls and beams, along with brown leather furniture.
They also have coffee drinks that are just as good as the decor with classics like cappuccinos, flat whites, lattes, cold brews, mocha drinks, and cortados.
Pro Tip: If you’re not a fan of the same old coffee drinks you can get elsewhere, you can opt to try some of their specialty items. The strawberry banana smoothies are perfect for those who have a sweet tooth. While the Frappe Greek Iced Coffee follows the theme. |

Treat Yourself to a Masterfully Made Cup at Siphon Coffee Houston

Phone Number: +1 281 974 4426
Hours: Open everyday from 7 am to 8 pm

Siphon Coffee is named after a Japanese machine that was invented over a century and a half ago. The machine makes use of a vacuum that pulls the water through a filter filled with ground coffee beans to extract the flavors and aromas within.
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes of meticulous work just to make one cup of coffee, but trust us, the results make the wait worth it. The coffee is stronger and more fragrant. Only very few places in the country still do this method and do it well.
Plus, as a bonus, the place itself is also aesthetically pleasing with 200 year old reclaimed wood from barns making up most of the paneling.
Pro Tip: Because of the work they put into making each cup, we highly suggest you drink the coffee in the location and not get it in a cup to take with you because that might upset the balance of flavors. That won’t be too hard to do because the place is nice too! |

In the unassuming guise of a fully operational body shop for all kinds of motorcycles, is a hidden gem for good coffee and tacos! Wolfsmiths is where bikers go to when they need a tune up or need a new set of helmets and leather jackets.
But, it’s also where coffee connoisseurs go for a new cafe adventure that far from the ordinary experience. A garage is repurposed into a cafe area with many motorcycles, both the latest models and antiques scattered everywhere as decor.
It’s a pretty cool place to visit especially if you’re into cars and motorcycles. But, people come here for the food too, especially for the tacos, tortas, and their loaded fries.
Pro Tip: Don’t miss out on the great drinks that they serve at Wolfsmiths. Their coffee drinks are great and made up of the common ones you’d find in cafes, but other more unique ones to try are the kombucha, Topo Chico, and Mexican Coke drinks. |
