Pros
- Listens attentively to their clients
- Thoroughly combs through documents when handling FMLA cases
- Provides free legal advice before accepting the case
Cons
- Doesn’t answer some calls from clients
- Only has 1 practicing lawyer
The Craighead Law Firm, PLLC expertly handles cases concerning violations of the Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), particularly in the area of unlawful denial of medical leaves.
It’s commendable how Atty. Clayton Craighead will exhaustively interview his clients so he can be familiar with their situation. If the employer of the client violates the FMLA, he’ll provide initial advice on the possible actions for the case.
Note that the FMLA mandates companies to provide employees with up to 12 weeks off work for serious health conditions of the worker and their kin.
To qualify for the leave, the employee must work in a company with 50 or more employees for 1,250 hours. They must also be employed at least 12 months before filing the leave.
In case the employer violates it, Atty. Craighead would suggest filing a lawsuit. We like how the lawyer meticulously combs through company policies and client documents to build a stronger case.
While this law firm provides professional support regarding FMLA cases, there were times when Atty. Craghead didn’t answer his phone when clients were calling during his office hours.
Also, some clients that need court representation may have difficulties in booking this law firm’s services because they only have a single attorney-at-law.
Still, it’s a great thing that Craighead Law Firm, PLLC doesn’t charge for their initial consultations with the Atty. Craighead giving out legal advice even before accepting cases.

Pros
- Provides special attention to clients with discrimination cases
- Prepares the clients with their cases by educating them
- Has many law practitioners that can provide legal advice
Cons
- Expensive consultation fee
- Hard-to-access site during online consultations
Wiley Wheeler, P.C. shines in their work representing victims of workplace discrimination.
When talking with discrimination victims, especially minorities, it’s commendable how Atty. Kalandra Wheeler would lend a compassionate ear to listen to their grievances.
Clients also describe Atty. Wheeler as someone sensitive with her language use during meetings. She’s careful about what to say to her clients, avoiding words that may offend those victims of discrimination at work.
Several Federal Laws protect every employee from discrimination based on factors like age, color, disability, genetic information, medical condition, national origin, and sex. If you experience unequal treatment due to the said factors, you can sue your company.
With that said, in terms of their legal work, Atty. Wheeler takes their time in reviewing evidence so that they won’t miss a crucial detail. We like how she, together with her legal team, teaches the client the inner workings of the court, boosting their confidence by educating them.
Despite their hands-on approach to discrimination cases, the firm’s consultation fee cost $250 per session, which can be expensive for some clients. Also, it’s a little frustrating that their site is difficult to reach when you have online consultations with their lawyers.
Still, Wiley Wheeler, P.C. has 3 practicing employment lawyers and a legal assistant aside from Atty. Wheeler, enabling the firm to cater to multiple clients at the same time.

Pros
- Tailored and strategic approaches
- Experienced team
- Broad range of practice areas
Cons
- Busy during peak days due to high demand
Ramirez Law, PLLC is a firm that focuses on representing individuals who have been denied their rights in the workplace in an unjust manner.
They’ve been devoted to litigating a broad variety of employment disputes before state and federal courts, governmental agencies, and in arbitration. So when it comes to any employment matters, we recommend them.
We’re amazed at the variety of their clients, from individuals, small businesses, and some of the world’s largest corporations in different industries.
Because of their broad experience, they have a deep understanding of how to approach workplace disputes, which we think helps them deliver excellent service to their clients.

Pros
- Specializes on Federal labor cases
- Upfront when discussing the success rate of the case
- Train labor unions on basic employment-related rights
- Hotlines are available 24 hours except on Saturdays
Cons
- Costly rates
- Short consultations for some clients
As their name suggests, Pines Federal focuses on workplace-related grievances on the Federal level, especially on the topic of unions.
What we like about the firm’s service is their honesty when talking about clients’ cases. Head attorney Eric Pines won’t sugarcoat his language and will immediately tell his clients if the case has a low chance of winning.
According to clients, Atty. Pines never forgets to check on the well-being of his clients. Even if he’s not the one personally handling the case, he would still provide those clients with the necessary legal advise and support.
It’s also impressive that this law firm provides legal support to labor unions. Atty. Pines and his co-partners teach union leaders and officers how to handle labor-related federal cases on topics like Equal Employment Opportunities and others.
We think this service is helpful for many workers because unions negotiate with big corporations regarding the rights of their employees. By equipping union leaders with knowledge of their rights, they can do a better job of championing workers’ welfare.
Although the company provides comprehensive legal training, their rates are a bit more costly than others due to their area of expertise. It’s also unfortunate that some clients were unsatisfied with the short duration of their consultations despite the firm’s rates.
Still, Pines Federal is open 24/7 weekly except on Saturdays. The company’s office hours grant their clients an opportunity to call their office for emergency legal advice or representation.
Also, Atty. Pines and his associates give their clients their personal numbers, which they can call if they have some questions.

Pros
- Meticulous evidence-gathering process
- All the practitioners in the firm help in the case
- Initial consultations are free
Cons
- Few legal services available
- Some consultations only take 15 minutes at most
Despite the firm’s name, clients wouldn’t go wrong with The Murphy Law Practice, PLLC, especially in cases of workplace retaliation.
The highlight of the firm’s service is their professionalism demonstrated through their punctuality in meetings and their transparency on the happenings on the case.
Even if the clients booked their services within short notice, Atty. Marjorie Murphy would still accommodate them to the best of her abilities.
It’s also wonderful how during consultations, Atty. Murphy always gives detailed advice and will take the time to explain if the client has a hard time grasping the terms she’s discussing.
It’s also commendable how every member of the law firm tries to help clients. Aside from the legal advice, they’ll also assist by gathering files, explaining the process of filing a case, and even listening to the client’s grievances.
When it comes to retaliation cases, it’s praiseworthy how Atty. Murphy always reminds their clients on the first meeting to collect every piece of evidence. This includes things like chat records, screenshots, and other documents to help build a winnable case.
In instances the case can’t be settled outside court, Atty. Murphy would take the fight to the court so their client can get the proper justice they deserve.
Remember that retaliation is any type of punishment that the company or its higher-ups inflict on their employees for participating in protected activities like testifying. This act is illegal and every employee is protected from it based on Federal Law.
Although, the company offers fewer services than others. Some of their consultation sessions are also a bit short, leaving little time for the clients to discuss their situations.
Regardless, The Murphy Law Practice, PLLC’s initial consultations are free, letting clients save some money from legal fees.

Pros
- Lawyers are patient and quick to work
- Can help with complex workplace injury claims
- Provides fully-virtual consultations
Cons
- Inconvenient booking process
- Some clients were put on hold for a long time
What we like about Kennard Law, P.C.’ services are their focus on workplace injury cases.
It’s great that founding lawyer Alfonso Kennard Jr. would listen to the clients patiently, especially if they were talking to emotional clients. When the legal practitioners get the necessary information on the injuries sustained, they’ll start building the case.
Mostly, the legal team of this firm would gather evidence derived from testimonies and physical documentation from the accident site to strengthen the workers’ claims. Then, they’ll provide advice on how much the complainant can get should they win the case.
Some of their clients like how relentless Atty. Kennard is when representing them in court. He’ll allow extra time to pursue leads and reread the evidence so he can strengthen his client’s cases.
We’re also impressed with Atty. Kennard’s work on seeking aid outside of workplace compensation. After gathering evidence of negligence, the firm can represent the clients injured in the workplace who can’t claim the said benefit.
Take note that some injuries unrelated to work but happened within the company’s premises can qualify for workers’ compensation. The lawyers, however, should be meticulous in gathering evidence to prove that the client can claim damages.
However, there were times when the company’s booking process was sluggish. On top of that, some clients were put on hold for a long time, making it inconvenient for them to reach out for questions.
Despite that, Kennard Law, P.C. offers fully-virtual consultations that let their clients book their service with very minimal face-to-face meetings. We think this service is for those individuals who can’t go out due to various health reasons.
