5 Best ENT Specialists in Houston to Breathe Easier

best-ent-specialist-houston
  • Doctor Credentials: We checked board certification and specialist training. When it comes to ENT care, solid credentials aren’t optional.

  • Service Range: We favored clinics covering ENT, allergy, and sleep concerns. Fewer referrals mean fewer appointments to juggle.

  • Patient Accessibility: We looked at location, booking ease, and insurance acceptance. Healthcare’s stressful enough without a scheduling headache.

  • Treatment Options: We preferred clinics offering both in-office procedures and surgery. More options give you more say in what happens next.

My sister once went into full panic mode because her baby’s nose was so clogged he sounded like a tiny snoring pug. He has a regular pediatrician, but finding the best ENT specialist in Houston suddenly felt urgent.

ENT problems have a knack for making small things feel enormous, especially when it’s your kid who can’t breathe comfortably. Adults dealing with stubborn sinus pressure, hearing trouble, or throat issues aren’t exactly having a grand time either.

Houston has plenty of ENT clinics, which is reassuring until you actually have to pick one. I narrowed down the standouts so you can spend less time scrolling and more time getting everyone breathing, hearing, and sleeping better.

How much does it cost to see an ENT specialist in Houston?

An initial ENT consultation in Houston generally costs $150 to $400 out of pocket. A new patient office visit may range from $174 to $523, while a follow-up visit can cost around $89 to $275.

A nasal endoscopy may cost $300 to $550. Earwax removal is usually cheaper at around $47 to $90.

Ear tube placement may carry a surgeon fee of about $500. A tonsillectomy surgeon fee may be around $2,000.

Final costs depend on your insurance and the treatment needed. Hospital, anesthesia, imaging, and other facility fees may be charged separately.

Contact: (832) 678-8333; Fax: 800-715-7365

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:45 AM–5 PM; Friday: 8:45 AM–4:30 PM

Texas ENT Specialists – Memorial Villages is a handy pick if your ears, nose, throat, and allergies seem determined to cause trouble at the same time.

The clinic covers a broad mix of ENT concerns, so you may avoid bouncing between multiple offices.

I like that allergy care is part of the setup, with testing and allergy shots available for patients dealing with environmental triggers.

Several physicians here also treat sleep apnea, which makes the clinic useful for snoring, breathing, and related sleep concerns.

They have a range of specialists, especially if your symptoms turn out to need more than a basic ENT check. It gives patients access to different areas of expertise without starting from scratch elsewhere.

The main catch is scheduling, since the office is closed on weekends. Allergy-shot hours can differ from regular clinic hours too, so it’s worth checking the timetable before heading over.

Pros

  • Broad ENT care for ear, nose, throat, sinus, and related concerns
  • Allergy testing and allergy shots available
  • Physicians with experience treating sleep apnea
  • Multiple specialists within one practice

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Allergy-shot hours may differ from regular clinic hours

2. Dr. John Yoo

Website

Address: 13009 Gulf Commerce Dr, Suite 101

Contact: (281) 649-7150

Hours: By appointment

Dr. John Yoo is a practical pick for families who’d rather not find separate ENT doctors for adults and kids. He’s board-certified and treats both adult and pediatric ear, nose, and throat concerns.

His special interests include sinus disease, allergies, pediatric ENT, snoring, sleep apnea, and hearing loss. That’s a useful range when symptoms don’t fit neatly into one little box.

His Houston roots are another nice touch, with Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine on his academic résumé.

I’d especially consider him if you want one physician who can handle common ENT issues across different ages.

The main drawback is availability, since the Southbelt office appears to keep weekday hours and closes on weekends. Patients who need care outside the usual workweek may have to plan ahead.

Pros

  • Board-certified ENT physician
  • Treats both adults and children
  • Special interests in sinus disease, allergies, sleep apnea, and hearing loss
  • Strong Houston academic background through Rice and Baylor

Cons

  • Southbelt office operates mainly on weekdays

He takes the time to thoroughly answer every question and ensures you truly understand your care.

Dr. Yoo is always a 20 out of 10—an exceptional physician. He takes the time to thoroughly answer every question and ensures you truly understand your care. What sets him apart is his ability to genuinely connect with his patients. I’ve seen him several times over the years, and most recently brought my daughter to see him. Despite the age difference, he provided the same high level of attentive, compassionate care.

Dr. Yoo really takes his time examining and explaining everything in detail, as he would do for his own family member.

A visit to Texas ENT Specialists to remedy an inner ear issue proved to be a most I’m very happy with Dr Yoo, this is my 2nd visit with him. I live in Portland, TX, but was very unhappy with the ENTs near there, so I was referred to Dr Yoo. This was my 2nd visit, and I am very happy with him. I don’t feel like I’m being run through the system like a number. Dr. Yoo really takes his time examining and explaining everything in detail, like he would do his own family member.

3. ENT & Allergy Associates of Texas – Memorial City

Website

Address: 915 Gessner Rd, Suite 280

Contact: (713) 461-2626; (713) 984-1703

Hours: By appointment

ENT & Allergy Associates of Texas – Memorial City is a solid pick when hearing, balance, sinus, or allergy issues start piling up together.

I like that ENT doctors and audiologists work in the same location, which can make the whole process feel less scattered.

The clinic handles both adult and pediatric ENT care, so families don’t necessarily need separate practices for different ages.

Its services cover hearing tests, balance disorders, sinus problems, allergies, and swallowing concerns.

That broad setup is especially useful when symptoms overlap, and you’re not quite sure which specialist you need first. It gives patients several care options without turning one problem into a tour of Houston clinics.

The only drawback is that a large, multi-specialty setup can feel a little less intimate if you prefer a small one-doctor practice. Some patients may simply be more comfortable with a quieter, more personal clinic style.

Pros

  • ENT doctors and audiologists in one location
  • Adult and pediatric ENT care
  • Hearing and balance services
  • Allergy, sinus, and swallowing care

Cons

  • Multi-specialty setup may feel less personal

If you are in the market and looking for a great ENT specialist, then Dr Mark Nichols is as good as it gets.

If you are in the market and looking for a great ENT specialist, then Dr Mark Nichols is as good as it gets. This Dr is the real thing, a wonderful and great human being with excellent medical skills. Dr Nichols has

great bedside manner. He listens to the patient; he has good instincts and quick intellect.  I actually wish he could be my Dr for all my issues, not just an ENT Dr. I was overwhelmed with joy to have such a doctor taking care of me and my concerns

Dr. Mark Nichols is an excellent ENT specialist.

Dr. Mark Nichols is an excellent ENT specialist. Very thorough in his examination, answers all questions and concerns, and is very kind towards my mother, who is also his patient. The receptionists and other doctors/nurses are also very nice. I would give 10 stars instead of 5 if I were allowed.😄 …

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5 PM; Friday: 8:30 AM–noon

Medical Center ENT Associates of Houston is a strong pick if ear and hearing problems are doing their best to derail your week.

Its board-certified ENT physicians handle children and adults, with plenty of experience across common ear, nose, and throat concerns.

The clinic stands out for its ear-focused services, including hearing care, ear procedures, and support for recurring infections.

Allergy injections and nosebleed treatment add even more reasons to keep this one on the shortlist.

I like that patients can get both medical ENT care and hearing-related support without bouncing between completely unrelated practices. That can make follow-up feel a lot less like a Houston-wide scavenger hunt.

The only catch is that the broad all-ages setup may not suit everyone. Parents (like my sister) who strongly prefer a pediatric-only atmosphere might feel more comfortable elsewhere.

Pros

  • Board-certified ENT physicians
  • Treats both children and adults
  • Strong range of ear and hearing services
  • Allergy injections and nosebleed treatment available
  • Hearing-related care alongside general ENT services

Cons

  • Broad all-ages setup may feel less specialized
  • May not suit parents who prefer a pediatric-only clinic

First visit, ear issue gone!

The place is super clean and nice. Plenty of chairs in the waiting areas, and there are two TVs. Staff is super nice and attentive. And my doctor, Dr. Tiffany Bell, was amazing and so knowledgeable in her field. I had an ear issue that I was dealing with for two weeks. First visit, ear issue gone!

She was transparent, addressed my concerns, and helped me understand my symptoms

Dr. Sarah Cooper was great. She guided me through the whole visit as she used cameras and scans to diagnose me. She was transparent, addressed my concerns, helped me understand my symptoms, and recommended non-invasive, cost-effective treatments.

The facility itself is clean, well-managed, and equipped. It is convenient; appointments can be made online, and there’s plenty of parking.…

5. Dr. Patricia A. Maeso

dr-patricia-a-maeso

Website

Address: 915 Gessner Rd, Suite 280

Contact: (713) 461-2626

Hours: By appointment

Dr. Patricia A. Maeso is a strong pick when sinus trouble has gone well beyond the occasional stuffy nose.

She’s board-certified and fellowship-trained in rhinology and skull base surgery, giving her extra depth with complex nasal and sinus problems.

Her interests include sleep apnea, salivary gland disorders, allergies, and throat concerns. She treats both adults and children, which makes her a flexible option for families dealing with different ENT issues.

I like that she keeps an eye on newer technologies and in-office procedures rather than relying on one treatment path. That can be reassuring when a stubborn sinus problem refuses to take the hint and leave.

The only catch is that scheduling runs through a larger clinic network, so the process may feel less direct than dealing with a small independent practice.

If you prefer a more personal booking experience, the setup might take some getting used to.

Pros

  • Board-certified ENT physician
  • Fellowship-trained in rhinology and skull base surgery
  • Strong focus on complex nasal and sinus conditions
  • Treats both adults and children
  • Interested in newer technologies and in-office procedures

Cons

  • Scheduling goes through a larger clinic network
  • Booking may feel less direct than with a small independent practice
