The Best 5 Home Inspection Companies in Houston Homepage

The Best 5 Home Inspection Companies in Houston

Our Criteria

Knowledge: Not all states demand home inspectors be licensed. Therefore, we chose to look for home inspection companies with licenses and professional certifications.
Experience: Experience is essential because companies with experience have developed the proper resources and tools needed to provide excellent service.
Professionalism: Home inspectors in Texas require 100,000 per claim along with professional liability. So, we pursued companies that honor these requirements.
Inspectors: Some of the best inspectors can teach a lot about a house during an inspection. Hence, we chose companies that contain inspectors who are comfortable with clientele attending the inspection.

Pros

  • Credit cards are accepted
  • Discounts may be available

Cons

  • Inspection reports may take days

First of all, we appreciated how A-Action Home Inspection Group had an easy-to-book feature on their website. It was clear and direct.

Not long after our inspection request, we received a prompt follow-up from one of the receptionists. She then referred us to an inspector who was more than willing to answer all our questions.

When we met up with our inspector, Dale, he answered all our questions and concerns respectfully. We are thankful that Dale didn’t consider our concerns to be ignorant or rush us into starting the inspection process.

Patiently, Dale walked us through every step of the inspection process. He even took the initiative to check off some things on the house that were not on our list.

He caught details that we had completely missed the first time we had seen the home.

Most of all, we loved how the report included a free termite and foundation inspection of the house as well!

Because we had planned for a quick closing on our house inspection, Dale assured us that he’d be available at any time if we needed a follow-up.

Overall, we are thankful for the friendly and patient Dale for guiding us through the many stages of building up our new home.

To start, scheduling an appointment with Houston Inspections was a breeze. It took only a few days instead of weeks to receive a notification.

In fact, throughout our entire inspection experience, we received convenient notifications in text messages.

Every company official we spoke to was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. However, we did note that their home inspection pricing is at competitive rates.

Yet, the moment our inspector Jason showed up, he was already in professional work mode. He even had a pair of extra shoes specifically for use while walking inside our home.

Thankfully, Jason was patient and allowed us to shadow him to understand more about the inspection details.

Before Jason left the house, he discussed some priorities to inquire about when we meet the builders working on the house.

We truly appreciated this because we didn’t need to waste time and wait until days later to discover his thoughts on the house. Not to mention, for every question we had about the issues with the house, Jason gave us his utmost attention.

We noted that Jason didn’t just include issues that didn’t follow the inspection code, but he stressed various cosmetic damages throughout the house.

Later, as we read his report, he re-enforced any of the issues he had noticed and made notes to help us when we’d have our blue tape walk-through.

All in all, the top-tier home inspection service we received from Houston Inspections satisfied our home buying expectations.

Ce Schultz Inspections exceeded our expectations beyond our imagination.

Purchasing a new home is already stressful enough, but working with our inspector, Eric, made the inspection process easier than we thought.

From the way he pointed out issues throughout the house inspection, it was apparent that this man knew what he was doing. His attention to detail was incredible!

As he conducted the house inspection, he stopped to take photos of anything that stood out to him and explained to us thoroughly about his finds. He did not rush us out of the house because we asked questions either!

We were impressed with Eric’s extensive knowledge and detailed inspection of our home.

But what we truly appreciated was that his report was ready within a day! Eric’s report was detailed too!

In addition, the level of attention to detail displayed in Eric’s report was what we were looking for and ensured us that all defects found had been reported. It allowed us to make necessary repairs before committing to purchasing the home.

Not to mention, CeS Inspection’s reporting system created a summary list of defects requiring repairs. It was an efficient and easy process that saved us time from making a report and made the home inspection process effortless.

Pros

  • Pay later is available
  • Credit cards are accepted

Cons

  • Limited report access if paying later

Everything about our experience was phenomenal. For starters, their website was very easy to navigate and use.

Although the representative we spoke with over the phone had fantastic customer service skills, our inspector Nick Emmett made an impression on us by how thorough he was. So, we were not surprised by how early he arrived at the house.

We noted how professionally dressed he was as he let us know what we should expect before the inspection began.

As we followed behind him throughout the house, he provided easy-to-follow explanations so we would understand what we’d be getting into if we purchased the home.

At the end of the inspection, Nick gave us a breakdown of all the issues he found with the house.

Thanks to Nick’s knowledgeable instructions, we alerted the house’s seller, which damages we needed remedying before we agreed to buy the house.

Within twelve hours, we received an informative report of the inspection.

We noted that while Bryan & Bryan Inspections gave us the option to pay at a time more convenient for us, we wouldn’t be allowed access to the report.

Although they are not the cheapest home inspection company we have worked with, we appreciate how thorough and smooth the inspection process went.

From the very beginning, the scheduling process was straightforward. We were promptly set up with an inspection time to assist us in moving through the closing process.

Since we were entirely new to the home inspection process as first-time home buyers, we didn’t want to miss any possible damages.

Nevertheless, our inspector, David, was diligent, helpful, and thorough in his inspection of our new home.

During the inspection, David communicated with us about any of his findings. It didn’t matter if it was a minor issue or not.

He walked us through the house and gave simple explanations and recommendations for what we should do as our next steps in the house buying process.

For example, David pointed out the need to install electrical outlets and repair small leaks in sinks around the house. He even explained the impacts his findings would have on our new home in the future if we didn’t fix the damages.

We especially appreciated how David waited until we understood his findings before closing the inspection.

Not only was the inspection report we received well documented, but it contained images and videos. By the way, we got our report by the end of the day!
