Pros

  • Large park
  • Hosts community events

Cons

  • Crowded on weekends and holidays
  • Limited parking spaces during peak hours

Our experience with Memorial Park Hunters was nothing short of thrilling. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, and the horses were gorgeous.

The instructors were professional and experienced, making us feel comfortable and safe. As we mounted our horses, we felt like we were in a scene straight out of the Wild West.

The services offered by Memorial Park were impressive. They had a range of options for riders of all levels, including private and group lessons, trail rides, and even horse leasing.

Safety is always a top priority for us when it comes to horseback riding, and Memorial Park didn’t disappoint.

The staff provided us with helmets and ensured all riders were properly fitted with their horses. They also went through a thorough safety briefing before we hit the trails.

We were pleasantly surprised by Memorial Park’s affordability. Their prices were competitive, and they even offered discounts for group lessons.

While we loved the experience, we’ve to admit it can get congested on weekends and holidays. If you’re looking for a more serene ride, we suggest opting for a weekday excursion.

And sadly, they have limited parking spaces during peak hours, which was a real horse-pill to swallow for us.

All in all, we recommend Memorial Park Hunters for anyone looking for a fun and adventurous experience. It’s like riding off into the sunset with your own personal cowboy.

Pros

  • Accepts credit cards
  • Experienced and knowledgeable instructors

Cons

  • Limited availability for walk-in rides
  • Relatively high prices

We had the pleasure of checking out Magic Moments Stable for some horseback riding. And let’s tell you, it was an absolute magical experience.

Magic Moments offers a variety of riding options, including group lessons, trail rides, and even birthday parties for your little cowboys and cowgirls.

The instructors are top-notch and really know their stuff. They were patient and attentive, making sure we felt confident in the saddle.

As a group of horseback riders, we were a bit nervous about getting back on the horse. But the staff at Magic Moments took great care to ensure we were properly equipped with helmets and boots.

They gave us a safety briefing and it was clear they take security seriously, which gave us peace of mind.

Moreover, we couldn’t help but feel like we were in an episode of The Bachelor. We were surrounded by stunning scenery and majestic animals, and it truly felt like we were in our own little western adventure.

Unfortunately, their limited availability for walk-in rides left us feeling like we got bucked off before we even got on the horse. We advise planning ahead of time.

Their relatively high prices also left us feeling a bit saddle-sore. We had to save up before we could gallop back for another ride.

All in all, we recommend Magic Moments Stable for anyone looking for a fun and unique experience. Whether you’re a seasoned rider like us or a first-timer, their team will make sure you have a magical time.

Pros

  • Well-trained horses
  • Wide range of training programs

Cons

  • Not pet-Friendly
  • Does not accept credit cards

We just had a blast at Equestrian Ventures Training. From seasoned equestrians to newbies, EVT welcomes all riders with open arms and a love for all things equine.

EVT offers everything from private lessons to summer camps. We loved their facilities because they were top-notch, with well-maintained arenas and stables that are fit for a king or queen.

We had the pleasure of working with some of the best instructors. Not only were they knowledgeable and patient, but they were also super fun and relatable.

They made sure we felt comfortable on our horses, which made all the difference. It was like having a personal horse whisperer by our side.

We were impressed by their rigorous safety protocols and the emphasis they placed on proper gear and riding techniques. We felt secure knowing we were in good hands, even when we were trotting or cantering.

We won’t sugarcoat it, horseback riding at EVT can be a pricey hobby. It left us feeling a little bit like we were hit with a stampede of wild mustangs.

Additionally, EVT isn’t pet-friendly, which was a bummer for us. Our furry friends will have to sit this one out.

Despite these hiccups, we still had an amazing time at Equestrian Ventures Training. If you’re willing to splurge a bit for a memorable horseback riding experience, we recommend checking them out.

Pros

  • Accepts credit cards
  • High-quality facilities and equipment

Cons

  • Not PWD-friendly
  • Polo lessons may not be suitable for beginners

We discovered the best way to escape the daily grind: horseback riding at Flanders Polo & Riding Lessons. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and stunning scenery.

We liked their instructors because they were incredibly skilled. They made us feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.

They also guided us through everything, from grooming the horses to mastering the perfect trot. We were in good hands, and we could tell they truly cared about our safety and enjoyment.

Speaking of safety, we were impressed with Flanders Polo’s commitment to it. They provided us with helmets and safety vests, and they made sure we understood the rules and safety procedures before we got on the horse.

We were a little worried that horseback riding lessons would break the bank, but Flanders Polo proved us wrong. Their prices were reasonable and competitive.

We were excited to try out Flanders Polo, but unfortunately, we found out they’re not PWD-friendly. It’s disappointing, to say the least.

Moreover, their polo lessons aren’t suitable for beginners, which may be a letdown for newbies.

Despite these drawbacks, we had a blast at Flanders Polo & Riding Lessons. It was like we were in an episode of Bridgerton, only with horses instead of ball gowns.

Pros

  • Kid-friendly
  • Emphasizes communication, connection, and energy awareness

Cons

  • Limited availability of in-person sessions
  • Requires a significant time commitment

As avid riders ourselves, we were pumped to try out Conscious Horse Conscious Rider’s services and see what they had to offer.

We’ve to give a shout out to the instructors. They made us feel right at home on our trusty steeds.

We were surprised by the attention to detail that CHCR puts into ensuring riders are well-protected. From helmets to safety stirrups, they’ve got all the bases covered.

We know what you’re thinking — is it worth the price? Well, in our opinion, absolutely!

The cost of the ride is completely justified by the level of service and care we received. Plus, it’s not every day you get to ride horses like a cowboy in the middle of Houston.

We couldn’t help but think of the movie “City Slickers,” where a group of city folks go on a cattle drive. That’s exactly how we felt on our ride with CHCR — refreshed, recharged, and with a newfound appreciation for horses.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, though, but it looks like CHCR has a limited availability of in-person sessions. As true horse enthusiasts, we were disappointed by this news.

And hold your horses, folks. While we loved our experience with CHCR, we’ve to admit the significant time commitment required for their services was a bit of a bummer.

All in all, we had an amazing experience with Conscious Horse Conscious Rider. If you’re looking for a safe, enjoyable, and educational ride, look no further.
