I think that it’s time that we forget about sweating it out while lazily sitting in a sauna when we can stretch, strengthen, and detox all at once in a hot yoga studio!

Since I started hot yoga classes, I began to love my mornings even more. And I feel extremely lucky that I’m surrounded by some of the best hot yoga studios in Houston! 

Today, I’m going to share some hot yoga love, and who knows, maybe I’ll bump into you at a class and we can sweat it out together!

1. Black Swan Yoga

If you’re looking for a heated yoga studio, Black Swan Yoga is the place for you. What’s great about this place is that it honors all yogic styles and practices.

Now, the people behind Black Swan Yoga invite more attendees by providing a donation-based yoga class. Because of this, you don’t have to pay any membership or sign up ahead of time!

Aside from hot yoga, you can also attend Ashtanga, vinyasa, and power yoga classes, putting you in control of your fitness goals.

Another thing you’ll like at Black Swan Yoga is they dim their lights during practice and . add great ambient and soothing music to it.

Parking is limited since yoga classes come one after the other. We suggest taking public transportation or booking a ride-sharing service instead.

What we like about BIG Power Yoga is that they don’t just offer hot yoga classes, you’re also given the option to stay and continue your practice by offering half an hour of mindful meditation.

If you’re a first-timer, you’ll be carefully guided by their friendly and knowledgeable instructor. The regular attendees won’t make you feel intimidated as they warmly welcome you into the community as soon as you enter the class.

If you can’t leave your kids at home, BIG Power Yoga offers kids’ yoga classes for children ages 2 until 12! They coincide with adults’ yoga classes so you can monitor your kids and practice at the same time.

We like that when it comes to cleanliness, Hot Yoga Houston does the job well. Even if you just utilize the mats, you’ll find them fully cleaned and sanitized, allowing you to borrow them when you suddenly forget to bring yours.

Pro tip: Due to the in-studio classes’ limited capacity, you’re highly encouraged to reserve a spot at least 3 days before your intended visit.

4. Union Studio Yoga

If you prefer a bright and scenic studio to practice some hot yoga, then Union Studio Yoga should be on top of your list. Here, you’ll practice your stretches and downward dogs while having the best view (views in Houston) of the Heights area.

You can also take your kids here as they’re also welcome to practice with you.

Moreover, class sizes here aren’t too big. This allows instructors to pay close attention to the students, helping them with the assistance and guidance that they need.

You’ll also love that each class will always be different from the last time, making you learn more techniques as you go along. Even better, their instructors have the clarity and softness to their voices which is great during meditation.

Additionally, Union Studio Yoga also offers outdoor seasonal classes where you can go beyond the four walls and explore meditation in a different safe space.

Pro tip: For extended meditation sessions, consider attending Wednesday classes at Union Studio Yoga.

One of our favorite features at YogaSix Heights is the dynamic lighting, which shifts throughout the session, seamlessly enhancing the mood and atmosphere inside the class.

Pro tip: If you forgot to bring your yoga mat during your hot yoga session, don’t hesitate to approach YogaSix Heights’ receptionist so she can loan you one for your session.

Here, you’ll appreciate the heating system inside the studio, ensuring a consistent temperature of up to 105°F, providing the perfect environment for your practice.

If you want spacious changing rooms and shower facilities, they’ve got it too! You don’t even have to bring toiletries as they provide these as well!

And if you ever need to recover from a tiring workout or even after attending multiple hot yoga sessions, Club Studio offers you a recovery center that allows you to recharge and gain strength for your next session.

Pro tip: Make sure to be in the studio at least 10 minutes before the session starts. Club Studio closes or locks the studio a minute after class starts to avoid further disruption.

We like that you can also safely leave your stuff in the lockers here, making your experience comfortable. And if you’ve got a busy schedule and need to rush to a meeting, work, or school after a session, Urban Fit Yoga’s clean facilities are top notch.

For those of you who are in search of a smaller studio then The Studio BE is a great fit for you. Here, there’s no need for private and semi-private sessions as they accommodate only a few people in a class.

The instructors at The Studio BE also take their time in explaining the purpose and intention of each exercise and pose, keeping the class interested.

And if you ever feel like the poses are a bit more challenging than expected, the instructors will gladly offer modifications so you can continue participating no matter where you are in your fitness journey.

Meanwhile, you can also enjoy some ambient music while you’re in the hot yoga class, adding to the overall relaxing vibe at The Studio BE.
