Pros
- Smokey lobster bisque
- Attentive service
- Comfortable atmosphere
Cons
- Salty lobster mashed potatoes
We recently ate at Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and our experience was simply outstanding.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great service and a friendly atmosphere. We were seated at a comfortable table and the ambience of the restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In terms of service, we were very pleased with the attentive and helpful staff at Truluck’s. They answered our questions with knowledge and courtesy and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal.
The first dish we had was the lobster bisque. This was a delightful concoction of tomato soup with chunks of lobster, spices and a hint of cream.
The lobster bisque had a rich and creamy flavor, with a subtle sweetness from the tomato and slight saltiness from the lobster.
We thought the flavors were subtle yet complex and the lobster was cooked to perfection. We were particularly impressed with how well the spices were balanced—it didn’t overpower the smokey lobster.
Next we sampled the lobster mashed potatoes. While the flavor was pleasing, the potatoes had a slightly salty and fishy taste that we felt overpowered the other ingredients.
We would have preferred if the dish had been cooked with less salt to allow the other flavors to come through.

Pros
- Tender South African lobster tail
- Sweet crab stuffed lobster tail
Cons
- Expensive
Not long ago we had a team dinner at B&B Butchers & Restaurant and experienced a night of culinary bliss.
As soon as we walked through the doors of B&B Butchers & Restaurant, we were blown away by the sleek and sophisticated atmosphere. We thought it was great that they have an extensive bar area with plenty of classic liquors.
We also liked how the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to us and quickly led us to our table. By the way, we booked reservations in advance—which we recommend you do too.
Although we tried a variety of entrees, we especially liked their South African lobster tail and the crab stuffed lobster tail. Our first dish, the South African lobster tail, was served with a side of charred broccolini and roasted fingerling potatoes.
We thought the lobster was moist and succulent with a subtle sweetness that was complemented by a hint of briny ocean flavor. The texture was firm and the meat was tender and flaky.
Our next dish was the crab stuffed lobster tail—which was equally as delicious as the South African lobster tail.
The lobster was cooked perfectly, and it had a buttery and slightly sweet taste, with a hint of saltiness that lingered on the palate. The stuffing was a flavorful mixture of crab, shallots, and herbs that brought out the sweetness of the lobster and made each bite even more enjoyable.
We also thought the sides of green beans and truffle mashed potatoes added just the right amount of flavor to complete this amazing dish.
While the price was expensive, we thought it was worth it for the quality and flavor of the dishes.

Pros
- Sweet truffle butter lobster shorba
- Creamy curry lobster tail
- Friendly waitstaff
- Large portions
Cons
- No kids allowed
We recently visited Kiran’s and enjoyed many dishes that were on the menu. In particular, we liked the lobster shorba and the curry lobster tail.
Upon being seated, we were warmly greeted by a friendly waiter, who quickly provided us with menus and drinks. Although we took note that no children were allowed, we still thought the atmosphere was inviting.
There were plenty of options on the menu, so we definitely had more than one dish and shared it as a team. The portions were large and more than enough to satisfy us.
We liked that the lobster shorba came with black truffle butter and had sherry in it. We savored the delicious broth, which was full of large chunks of tender lobster meat.
The addition of sherry gave the lobster shorba a sweet yet subtle flavor that was a delicious contrast to the earthy truffle butter. Plus, the lobster shorba was served with a side of crusty bread, which we thought was excellent for sopping up the sweetness of the broth.
However, the curry lobster tail was an even bigger hit, served in a creamy curry and fragrant sauce that was full of fresh herbs and spices. We thought the curry sauce was a nice twist on the usual lobster dishes we eat.
The lobster meat was cooked through, yet still tender and juicy. It was an excellent accompaniment to the basmati rice and naan bread we had on the side.
Overall, we thought both dishes were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection, making them a testament to the kitchen’s skill.

Pros
- Live music
- Impressive wine and cocktail list
- Flavorful lobster salad
- Creamy and buttery lobster pasta
Cons
- Reservations are recommended
- Slow service
If you are looking for a seafood experience that is truly unique and exquisite, Ouzo Bay is the place to be. At least, that’s what we were told.
We went to Ouzo Bay for a recent team celebration dinner to test out a few of their seafood dishes, but it was the lobster that stood out the most.
To start, we liked the live music as we thought it really enhanced the atmosphere. The musicians were talented, and their selection of classical, jazz, and contemporary music was enjoyable and made the restaurant feel more alive.
Plus, we noted the music wasn’t too loud and it didn’t overpower the conversations taking place in the dining room.
We also thought their wine and cocktail list was impressive. We liked that there was a large selection of both red and white wines, along with a variety of different cocktails.
We were able to find something to suit everyone’s tastes on our team. Now onto the main meals—the buttery lobster dishes we had.
Out of all the dishes we had, we liked their whole lobster salad and whole Maine lobster pasta the most.
We thought it was great how the whole lobster salad was a generous portion of a whole whooping 1.5 lbs of fresh Maine lobster. The lobster was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and perfectly complemented the tartness of the oranges and bitterness of the greens.
We liked how the lobster didn’t make the salad too fishy either.
Additionally, the whole Maine lobster pasta was equally delicious. The lobster was juicy and delicate, and its sweetness was complemented by the rich and savory sauce.
We liked how creamy the sauce was, with a slightly smoky flavor that added depth to the dish. We also thought it was great that the bucatini was cooked al dente and didn’t absorb all the sauce.
However, do note that reservations for Ouzo Bay are recommended. We were fortunate enough to secure a table, but it took a bit of luck and effort.
The service was also a bit slow at times, but we thought the quality of the food and the atmosphere more than made up for it.

Pros
- Creamy lobster bisque
- Appetizing lobster rolls
Cons
- Disorganized staff
- Small portions
Maine-ly Sandwiches offers a variety of delicious sandwiches and other seafood-based dishes. Recently, we had the pleasure of trying out their lobster rolls and lobster bisque, amongst other entrees on their menu.
Starting off with the lobster rolls, we were presented with two small but very appetizing sandwiches. The lobster rolls were served with melted butter and a side of dill pickles.
The lobster was cooked to perfection and was succulent and tender. The bun itself was lightly toasted, which really gave it a nice crunch while also maintaining its softness.
We also thought the melted butter added a lot of extra flavor to the lobster, and the pickles were a nice addition as well.
Moving on, we tried the lobster bisque, which was creamy and delicious. The lobster was cooked nicely, and the broth had a wonderful flavor that was enhanced by the addition of heavy cream and some herbs.
We liked how the bisque was finished off with a healthy dose of butter, which added a nice richness to the soup. Once again, the portion size was a bit on the small side, but the flavor more than made up for it.
The only criticism we really have is the service, which could definitely use some improvement. While the waitstaff was friendly and attentive, there was a noticeable lack of organization in regard to the kitchen.
A few times, the dishes we ordered took too long to arrive, and we had to wait a while before being served our meals.
