The 6 Best Places To Get Massages In Houston

The 5 Best Places To Get Massages In Houston Homepage

How We Picked

Professionalism: This influenced our choice because not all spas or massage parlors are professional. So we only chose places that exhibit professionalism in every way.
Massage Types: We choose this as a criterion because not every massage is the same. The kind of massage you choose depends on your needs.
Hygiene: We choose places with the best hygiene because if you get a massage from places that do not exhibit clean practices and standards, it is very easy to catch infections.
Trained Practitioner: We choose this because the years a practitioner has been in the field doesn’t matter if they are not trained properly. This influences the type of massages they know how to give.

Pros

  • Wide Range of Massage Services
  • Experienced and Skilled Masseuses
  • Convenient Location and Availability

Cons

  • Inconsistent Quality of Service

Oasis Massage Salon, a well-regarded massage parlor in Houston, has been providing therapeutic massages since its inception in 2008.

The salon offers a wide range of massage services aimed at nurturing, cleansing, and relaxing both the body and mind.

We like that Oasis Massage Salon offers a diverse array of massage services, catering to various needs from relaxation to therapeutic benefits.

This variety ensures that clients can find a massage type that suits their specific requirements.

The salon employs professionally trained and experienced masseuses who are well-versed in different massage techniques.

We find that this expertise ensures that clients receive high-quality and effective treatments.

Oasis Massage Salon operates two locations within the same area, providing convenience for clients.

The two locations alternate their open days, ensuring that clients have access to massage services throughout the week.

While many clients have had positive experiences, some reviews indicate inconsistency in the quality of massages. This suggests that the expertise of the masseuses may vary, leading to differing experiences.

Pros

  • Credit cards accepted
  • A variety of massages are offered

Cons

  • Appointment based only
  • Moderately expensive

When we walked into this place, we fell in love with its gorgeous interior and how welcoming everyone was. To start our visit, the receptionist greeted us with a warm smile.

We appreciated how knowledgeable and helpful the receptionist was. We liked how the relaxing scents of various essential oils such as eucalyptus in the massage rooms filled the air.

All the masseuses here are cheerful, by the way, and give you the option to engage in simple small conversations during your massage. Depending on the type of massage you get, the masseuses make use of various relaxing lotions and body oils to soothe your pain.

We appreciate how the masseuses are correctly trained and have experience finding which spots on the body have the most tension and stress. They can be either gentle or firm throughout the massage.

One of the things we like the most is the variety of massage types offered here, incidentally. We like how they give you the option to choose between one hour, one and a half hours, and two hours.

However, we noticed that this place is appointment only, so you’d have to call or book online ahead of time. The general price for an hour massage is $80 and up.

Nevertheless, we like how the masseuse communicates with you about how you feel throughout the massage. They constantly check in on your pain level.

They serve you warm tea and chocolates at the end of your massage. It made for a very professional and pleasant experience.

The overall environment is very relaxing and enjoyable.

Pros

  • Luxurious massages offered
  • Credit cards accepted
  • Valet parking
  • Validated parking

Cons

  • Appointment based
  • Starting rate for massages is $215+

We noted that the spa at The Post Oak Hotel is a luxury spa, and its variety of massages reflects that. With choices like the Royal Lomi to the Balinese massage, we felt like royalty.

One of the best parts is that while we waited for our massages, we could take advantage of the other spa amenities. Such as the pool, the aroma steam room, the sauna, and the stone loungers.

They also have a relaxing waiting room, we think. They offered plenty of snacks for our enjoyment too (always appreciated!).

But the actual massage is quite a luxurious pampering experience, so it still was the star of the show for our visit. We enjoyed the heated massage beds.

Our masseuses were top-trained professionals who accommodated us every step of the massage. At no given moment did we feel uncomfortable.

Everyone on the staff was friendly and very professional. They helped make our experience here one we will remember.

But what makes the spa at The Post Oak Hotel different is the option to have one-of-a-kind treatments tailored to your needs. They use top brand Aromatherapy Associates essential oils, Swiss anti-aging lotions, and serums.

However, the downside is that the spa is located in a hotel. Also, the price is expensive.

Despite these two things, the messages here are worth the experience.

Pros

  • Prenatal and postpartum massages are offered
  • Cash, credit, and debit cards accepted
  • Gift certificates accepted
  • Monthly membership is optional
  • A tip is not required

Cons

  • No jewelry allowed, except for small earrings
  • Cancellation policy

We like this place because it is a custom massage cottage located right in the heart of the neighborhood. It makes for a very professional yet personal experience.

They specialize in taking care of the pain in new and expecting mothers with their special prenatal and postpartum massages. However, they do offer other services as well.

What stood out to us is that they offer massages from the comfort of your own home or even your work office. They also cater to private groups and events.

We appreciate how the massage therapists checked in with us on our comfort levels and adjusted the room temperature settings when asked. We like that the hot stone therapy and hot towel application are also available if you ask for them.

Throughout the massage, they carefully pinpointed our pain points. They also used essential oils to help us relax and ease into the massage.

We did notice too about this place that they have a monthly membership available for purchase. It starts at $10.

What we don’t like about this place is that it is appointment-based. So if you cancel, there’s no guarantee you’ll receive the same massage therapist of your choice.

Nevertheless, the experience you’ll receive at Zalla massage is one of the finest, we think.

5. Blossom Massage

Pros

  • Acupuncture is offered
  • Online appointment booking is available
  • Hemp CBD massage is available

Cons

  • The place is difficult to find
  • Parking is limited

One of the first things we liked about this place was how easy it was to book an appointment online. At the front desk, we were greeted with a warm smile by the receptionist, who made sure we didn’t wait long.

We had the privilege of meeting the very kind owner. Before our massage, we walked around outside onto their little patio.

We were offered refreshing cold waters, and then we were taken into the massage rooms. Everyone treated us with respect and made sure we felt calm before and after our massage session.

Their massage therapists have an intuitive understanding of the body and knowledge of pain points. Any questions we had were answered.

The massage therapists were great communicators and very helpful. They showed us various stretches we can do to relieve any pain we may feel afterward.

The massages were reasonably priced. We could choose from either 60, 75, or 90 minutes.

They also shared with us various acupressure techniques. We learned new tips for our health, yet we enjoyed a relaxing experience here.

But what earns Blossom Massage a spot on our list of best massage places in Houston is the Hemp CBD massage they offer. It was a complete custom body treatment that left us leaving fully relaxed.

However, what we don’t like about this place is that it was difficult to find. Also, the parking was limited.

Pros

  • Online appointment booking is available
  • Walk-ins are accepted
  • Credit cards are accepted
  • Free wifi is available
  • Authentic Thai massages are available

Cons

  • Pay upfront for services
  • Insurance is not accepted
  • Limited variety in massages

We liked how we could book our massage appointment online. The entire process was straightforward.

The website has minimal information about this place. So, we were not sure what to expect when we checked out Erawan Thai Massage parlor.

We were pleasantly surprised. The spa is located in a small plaza.

To go inside, you do have to ring a doorbell. Despite being a smaller place, the staff does practice excellent hygiene.

We like how reasonable the prices are. We also like how they have walk-ins available.

However, it is recommended to book an appointment in advance on their website. We noted how our massage therapist communicated with us about our preferred focus areas when our massage started.

The massage therapists expertly switched up the amount of pressure they used. The specific techniques and pressure points they utilized made for an overall authentic Thai massage.

After the massages, we were not sore. We had an overall therapeutic and relaxing experience.

One of the downsides of coming to this massage parlor is that they only focus on Thai, Swedish, and deep tissue massage. This place is also smaller and less fancy than most massage parlors.

We don’t like how we have to pay upfront for their massage services. They also do not accept insurance.
