Pros

  • Cheap prices for breakfast tacos
  • Bulk orders available for parties
  • Tender signature brisket
  • Craft beers available

Cons

  • Patio seats can be a bit small

With cheap breakfast tacos and an even better drinks menu to boot, The Patio At The Pit Room is a complete standout by providing a great patio space for you to enjoy their (honestly) delicious food!

How cheap are their breakfast tacos, you might ask? Well, if $5 for a Brisket & Egg Taco sounds like a steal, then it is! The best part about these tacos is you can get them 7 days a week every day.

And if you want to treat everyone you love to a breakfast surprise, then The Patio At The Pit Room’s got your back on that, too! You can order their breakfast tacos in bulk, and you can customize the meat and the side that goes along with it, too!

But if you do decide to dine in instead of ordering bulk, then we do have to give you a little warning before going – their tables are a little small for our liking. If you order lots of food, then you might need to dine inside for bigger tables.

Then again, their food options more than makeup for this, and their signature briskets’ flavor profile is delicious! Yes, it’s on the more expensive side ($14 for ½ lb), but it’s juicy and it’s smoked to perfection – and it goes well with their Shiner Brock craft beer!

Pros

  • Hyperlocal Raw Houston Honey
  • Locally-sourced Houston beers
  • Good discount on Happy Hour
  • Rare drinks available

Cons

  • Food depends on food trucks

A great place to drink with lots of drink options and fun events that go along with it, Social Beer Garden HTX is a must-visit if you’re looking for a patio bar in Houston with lots of drink options and good food trucks, too!

We also like Social Beer Garden HTX’s astounding drink list – they have everything from locally sourced craft beers to rare alcoholic beverages on tap! The Hyperlocal Raw Houston Honey that goes with their drinks gives them that distinct flavor.

The honey only comes in two of their drinks, the Thot Hoddy winter-exclusive and the Htwon Sour. The Htown Sour is good, but if you’re not in the mood for that then the Larceny Barrel Proof from their Rare Bourbon list should be your go-to.

The only thing we don’t appreciate as much about Social Beer Garden HTX is that your main source of food is their food trucks. The tacos from Taco Forno are good, but if you’re lucky to be present with the Steak Nights truck then the better!

But if you’re visiting Social Beer Garden HTX for the drinks, then you’ll be in for a treat with their daily events! They have different ongoing events for each day – wednesday movie nights, for example – ensuring that you’ll have a different experience each visit!

Pros

  • Festive atmosphere
  • Great weekly events
  • Good options on all menus
  • Cheap Mexican Coke

Cons

  • Salads are the same price as the mains

With a fun and festive atmosphere and delicious food to boot, Onion Creek is a must-visit patio bar in Houston if you’re interested in having a great time – not just on their weekend brunches, but every day you’re craving for a different flavor, too!

Onion Creek has plenty of events in store for everyone! From all-day Happy Hour Mondays to OC Brunch (with DJs), you’ll get a unique experience every time. For us, the weekend brunch is fun, and gives it a different vibe compared to other patio bars in Houston!

Their brunch menu goes well with Onion Creek’s fun vibe, too! Ordering their Dry Creek Breakfast which only costs $14 along with their signature Frozen Mimosas for $7 is the ticket to starting your weekend right – and without leaving a dent in your wallet, too!

The only thing we don’t appreciate as much about Onion Creek is the prices of their salads. Think, spending $2 more for a bowl of Ranchero Cobb! Their salads are delicious, don’t get us wrong – but the price can be discouraging.

But! Onion Creek has a secret up their sleeve and a good one at that – they have Mexican Coke for $5! Now if you haven’t tried one, then you should give Onion Creek a visit for one – it tastes like what Coca-Cola should taste like, which we like!

Pros

  • Delicious breakfast menu
  • Unique twist on waffles and proteins
  • Impossible burger available
  • All-day waffles

Cons

  • Lack of drink options listed online

With their delicious menu options and a never-before-seen twist on the typical waffle-and-protein combo, Breakfast Bar HTX is definitely one of the more unique patio bars in Houston that we’ve seen yet!

Everything on Breakfast Bar HTX’s breakfast is delicious, and the serving portions are generous considering the price. Their waffles are good, and their Chicken & Waffles is nice. But if you want something unique, then their Lobster & Waffles is the way to go.

However, the thing that we appreciate the most about Breakfast Bar HTX is the fact that they have a delicious Vegan Impossible Burger for vegans out there! The toppings are great, and the pickles they add to it give it a really good crunch.

The only thing we don’t appreciate as much about Breakfast Bar HTX is that they don’t have their available drinks listed on their website and you’ll have to visit them to know what they have to offer. The San Pellegrino Sparkling Water is our go-to each visit!

The lack of drink options is worth it though, especially when you consider that you can get Breakfast Bar HTX’s delicious waffle combos all day! That means that you can get their Lobster & Waffle for both lunch and dinner – if you feel like spending $25, that is.

Pros

  • Must-visit on Thursdays
  • Affordable prices
  • Great view from the patio
  • $11 cocktails

Cons

  • Closed 2 out of 7 days a week

If a great view from their patio or their affordable prices isn’t enough to convince you to visit Around The Corner, then daily events and plenty of food options would be your calling to visit them on days they’re open!

Yes, Around The Corner has different events every time they’re open – and we recommend visiting them on Thursdays for their Steaks Night! The 12 oz. Ribeye with their house-style gratin potatoes is worth the $24, and it goes with their Chardonnay.

That being said though, Around The Corner doesn’t have events on Mondays and Tuesdays because they’re closed. But then again, visiting them when they’re open is worth it, and not just on their Steak Night Thursdays.

Speaking of other nights, their menu on regular nights deserves an honorable mention, too! The Nighttime Menu is great value for money since their serving sizes are larger compared to other patio bars in Houston, and with $11 cocktails, we can’t ask for more.

If you’re visiting them for their Nighttime Menu, we recommend trying out their Hangover Pizza, and some of their Mistress Cocktails if you want to have a blast. And if you find the right spot on their patio, a blast you will have indeed, trust us on that one!
