Pros
- Wide service area
- Can fix outdated pools
- Uses PebbleTec® for Pool Resurfacing
- Weekly service available if vacationing
Cons
- Quotes can get a bit expensive
What we like the most about Manning Pool Service is that they can help pool owners in most of Houston. Yes, they serve areas from Bellaire to West U, which already gives them a clear edge compared to other pool services in Houston.
Manning Pool Service can also help renovate outdated pools that haven’t been used for a long time and can help fix malfunctioning equipment along with providing ambient lighting as well.
Yes, they do use PebbleTec for their resurfacing which can be on the rougher side (and can even cut your feet if you’re not careful!). They do add PebbleSheen to it, which makes it a lot smoother.
Where Manning Pool Service does fall short a bit is with their quotes. They don’t specify their quotes on their website, some users have paid a lot more than the average rate of $960 to $1,800 for a pool service in Houston. It’s worth it but still expensive.
The jump in price may be due to them getting their pool cleaned twice a week during their vacations. This is understandable and yet another service that gives Manning Pool Service an edge compared to other pool services in Houston.
3. Sparkling Pool Service

Address: 11119 Tall Timbers Houston, TX 77065

Pros
- Plenty of services offered
- Free initial quotes
- Promos available
- Pool leak detection available
Cons
- Brick-and-mortar location can be hard to find
Pool services in Houston by and large tend to charge a ridiculous amount of money – and though Sparkling Pool Service does charge a lot, it still falls in the average cost a pool service in Texas, and you can get plenty of discounts to boot!
Not only do they have free initial quotes, but if you do try out their first month then you can get the next month for free – think, Spotify Premium, but for pool services. And yes, you can get 10% off for their pumps or motors, but you can’t have it with any other promo.
They also offer plenty of pool services too, which isn’t rare. But what makes them unique is that unlike other pool services in Houston that still use paper trails after your session, they use the Pool Trac Email System.
This makes it easier for both you and Sparkling Pool Service to see everything that they did in your pool, along with providing you with the chemical readings from before and after using their service in your email, which makes them a lot more convenient.
If you do want to try their service out, then we suggest contacting them online rather than visiting their brick-and-mortar, since it’s a bit hard to find.
Then again, their service still more than makes up for it, especially when you consider that they do offer pool leak detection service, which gives them a lot more variety compared to other pool services in Houston.
4. CK Pools

Website: CK Pools

Pros
- Years of experience
- Easy online booking process
- Lots of services offered
- Experienced crew
Cons
- Slow communication
With at least 30 years of experience under their belt, you would expect CK Pools to provide a great pool service for Houstonians out there – and for the most part, you’re right on the money, especially since their online portal allows for easier bookings.
We do have to warn you though – yes, their online booking process is a lot easier compared to other pool services in Houston, but you will have to wait for a while before you get a reply from them, which can be a bit inconvenient.
With that out of the way, we have to commend CK Pools for their excellent services. They specialize in lots of services – from pool inspection to pool remodeling, they can help you out with that, and everything in between!
CK Pools can even help fix your pool filter, and though it might not look like a lot at first, fixing your pool filters before they even start to become a problem can net you huge savings on both your water and electricity bills.
Their experienced crew also means that they can fix your problem faster and without any issues, too. Don’t get discouraged by the low Facebook and Yelp reviews – CK Pools’ crews are as professional as they get!

Pros
- Knowledgeable crew
- Pool maintenance service
- Fast response time
- Cheap prices
Cons
- Limited service area
If you’re living within the Greater Houston or Galveston area, Heights Pool Service is your best bet if you want quick, professional pool service.
The thing we commend the most about Heights Pool Service is their quick, prompt replies. You can either give them a call within their operating hours or fill out the form on their website on the weekends.
Though it’s not a free quote like other pool services in Houston, it still falls in the average cost for Texas. It will depend on the service, but getting Heights Pool Service for a pool chemical replacement once a week will set you back $75 a month, which is a steal.
That being said though, Heights Pool Service is really only worth it if you’re living in the Greater Houston/Galveston area. If you’re not from there, it will cost you a bit more.
But if you do decide to get them, their services are great and can really help you with your pool needs. And their professional crew will always be more than happy to help you out and answer your questions too!

Pros
- Wide service area
- Service package for $299
- Good for commercial/private pools
- Equipment upgrades available
Cons
- No brick-and-mortar
What makes Pool Bros stand out is that they can serve the vast majority of Houston. They also have more affordable service packages to boot!
Pool Bros can serve pretty much the entirety of Greater Houston, bar Katy and other surrounding areas. This makes them a lot more convenient compared to other pool services.
What makes them unique is you don’t need to contact them for a quote. You can get their all-inclusive package for $299, which includes a weekly service!
That being said though, Pool Bros doesn’t have a brick-and-mortar location, so you’ll need to contact them either through their website or their mobile number. Though a tad inconvenient, their service more than makes up for it.
The best part about Pool Bros though is the fact that they can also provide their services to commercial pools and not just private homes. They can also upgrade your current pool’s equipment, which can help you save a lot more money where it counts.
