Pros

  • Great variety on menu items
  • Family packs is perfect for bulk meals
  • Shop offerings allow you to get their food at home
  • Cheap beverages

Cons

  • Closes too early

What makes The Breakfast Klub (yes, it’s not a typo) unique compared to other Sunday brunch buffets in Houston is the fact that you can buy some of their seasonings and mixes so that you can make your TBK-style brunch in your own home!

The Breakfast Klub’s signature bundle costs $20.75, and you’ll get the works – chicken coating, waffle and pancake batter, and even their seasoning which gives their food that unique flavor!

But if you want to taste the real deal before trying out their seasoning, then you won’t regret it, too! Their brunch is exceptional, and the food is big for the price! We suggest getting their Meaty 3-Egg Omelets for the best compromise between money and flavor.

Speaking of good and affordable, The Breakfast Klub’s beverages are good, too! They don’t have alcoholic beverages like other Sunday brunch buffets in Houston, but their coffees and Kaffe Latte is delicious and can help jumpstart your day the right way.

Though we like The Breakfast Klub’s food, we don’t quite like how they close relatively early. The Breakfast Klub closes at 2 PM every day, so you can’t get their food in the afternoons. But their spice pack can help you get their food at home, kinda.

Good thing they have daily specials to keep each visit worth it and fun – we suggest visiting them on Thursdays for a delicious plate of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, seasoned green beans, and Texas Toast!

Pros

  • Huge whiskey collection
  • Good variety on brunch menu
  • Vegan option available
  • Reasonable prices

Cons

  • Porch seats has no back support

Located a couple of blocks away from River Oaks District Shopping Mall, Bosscat Kitchen & Libations is a great Sunday brunch buffet in Houston if you’re finding a good place to drink thanks in part to their (in their words) rather… large whiskey collection.

And their whiskey collection is no joke! They have whiskeys from all over the world, and you can even ask the bartender about the whiskey and its journey! Their whiskeys’ prices can change, but the Canadian Crown Royal is our personal favorite.

But you’re not here for their whiskeys – you’re here for their brunch, which is as good as you’d expect, too! Their Monte Cristo isn’t too oily, and pairs well with their Mimosas which come in a carafe which we like a lot!

If you’re dining in Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, we suggest either dining inside or sitting behind their fence, since their porch seats have no back support and (if you’re having too much fun with their whiskeys) you’re bound to fall if you’re not careful.

That’s not the only thing you’ll be falling for in Bosscat Kitchen & Libations though, especially if you’re vegan – their Kale Goddess salad is really good! They somehow managed to remove the kale’s bitter taste with their dressing which is impressive.

Pros

  • Two locations with similar menus
  • Family-style brunches ‘til 3 PM
  • Brunch drinks by the pitcher
  • Great variety on regular menu

Cons

  • Regular menu is available only after 3 PM

Although The Rustic has two branches in Houston (one Uptown and one Downtown), we like the fact that both still have similar menus – and in our experience, anyway – the flavor that makes them a unique Sunday brunch buffet in Houston is the same, too!

The Rustic’s family brunch starts when they open until 3 PM, and it’s a family-style brunch on top of that, too! The brunch menu to start with is a bit limited, but the Texas Hot Chicken stands out from the rest.

But if you want better variety, then you’ll need to visit them after their brunch where they offer a lot more variety with their food. The Triple Chop is good, and the Frozen Rose goes well with it, but it’ll only be available after 3 PM, which is a shame.

Then again, The Rustic has great drinks available on their brunch menu, and it’s even better since it’s available by the carafes or the pitcher, depending on the drink! Both the Mimosa and Bloody Mary are good, but the Bloody Mary pitcher takes the cake for us.

But since The Rustic is a family establishment, they also have kiddie drinks available, too! The Fruity Pebble Fizz can really make your kids feel like they’re an adult without consuming any alcohol at all.

Pros

  • Established name
  • Great variety on menu
  • Unique cocktails
  • Customizable mimosas

Cons

  • Expensive Brunch plates

An established Sunday brunch buffet in Houston, Lucille’s has been in the industry for years – and for a good reason, too! Their good food and even better atmosphere really left a mark on us, though their prices are on the more expensive side.

Lucille’s brunch menu is exceptional, and the clear standout for us would have to go to their Croissant French Toast if you’re in the mood for something light and their Oxtail Omelette if you want something heavy.

We also like their unique cocktail mixes, too! Everything on their cocktail menu has a unique name and an even more delicious flavor. We suggest trying out the French Kiss, aka their unique twist on a Pina Colada.

The only thing we don’t appreciate as much about Lucille’s is their prices – $22 for a plate of omelettes is a bit too much, even if it’s delicious. Granted, their burgers and hot chicken sandwiches are cheaper, but they’re not as filling compared to their omelettes.

But if you’re going to brunch with someone and you’re all pitching in, then we suggest getting their Mimosas by the carafe for $29. Tack in $5 on top of that and you can add some extra flavors in it, too – try adding their Lucille’s Special for that extra zing!

Pros

  • Great variety of food
  • Good seating at the Westheimer location
  • Vegan menu available
  • Delicious mocktail and beverages

Cons

  • Some items are not available to order online

Although Snooze, an A.M. Eatery has five locations scattered throughout Houston, we especially like their Westheimer location most of all. Mainly because you can get better porch seating compared to their other branches, but partly because of their vegan menu.

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery’s Westheimer branch has great vegan choices, and the Bravocado Toast is the clear standout for us. Their house-made red onion jam gives it that extra bit of flavor that we like, too.

Though their vegan menu is good, their regular food options are good, too! We suggest getting their Pancake of the Week for a little bit of extra surprise – the last time we visited, we got a delicious serving of their Cereal Milk Pancakes!

Then again, if you want to try out their Pancake of the Week, you will have to visit them yourself since those aren’t available to order online. And even if they’re available to order, we don’t recommend them since they come in a bit too soggy for our taste.

But for us? The trip is worth it – especially when you try out their beverages and mocktails! Their Snooze House Blend Coffee is a good pick-me-up in the mornings, whereas their Blood Orange Punch is a great way to end your meals.
