Pros
- Delicious sauce options
- Lifetime available
- Plenty of other food options
- Affordable pricing
Cons
- Not a lot of sauce options
Bonfire Wings might not be as popular as the other entries on our list, you definitely should give them a try when you’re in the area!
What we liked the most about Bonfire Wings is the diversity of their menu. If you’re not in the mood for wings, they also have several excellent Bayou specials to choose from. The Boudin Ball is good, but get them stuffed with Cheese and you’re in for a treat.
But if you want their wings, then you’ll like them even more. All of their sauces are excellent and come with the perfect amount of spice. The Garlic Parmesan is the best if it’s your first time, or the Insanely Hot if you want a bit of kick with your chicken.
Though there are not a lot of sauce options to choose from (they only have 10), we really liked that they’re seasoned well and coat the chicken wing well. They have both mild and spicy flavors, and even a more extreme spicy flavor, which we appreciate a lot.
The catch for all of this wing goodness? None that we can see! The flavors are great, they have plenty of food options, AND they’re affordably priced even with taxes included. They really do live up to their warning of being extremely addictive!

Pros
- Chicken is moist and crispy
- Diverse flavor options
- Other menu options are good
- In-house beverages are a must-try
- Affordable prices
Cons
- Long wait time
As the name implies, Hot Wings & More’s hot wings are great! Their specialty blend has that right amount of tongue-numbing kick without being inedible.
Apart from the wings, we also tried their cheesesteak sandwich. And when paired with the hot wings, it really helped ease the spice!
Their in-house beverages are really good, too, especially their strawberry lemonade. But if you’re over 18, then their traditional frozen margaritas are definitely a must-have.
And the best part is we didn’t have to spend that much money at Hot Wings & More! We ordered the 10 boneless wings basket and all the things that we listed above – we didn’t have to spend more than $50, taxes included.
We had to wait more than 40 minutes to get our order, though, so you may not want to come here starving and on the verge of hangry. We were REALLY hungry, so when the food arrived perfectly, it was game over for us!

Pros
- Small and chic environment
- Lifetime Large wings and amazing sauce options
- Halal kitchen
- Large orders allow half-half flavors
- Perfect location
Cons
- Too much sauce options
A bit of a hush-hush wings spot in Houston, we really dig everything WIngs 87 has to offer. Their halal kitchen and their order customization should make them a top pick for a lot of people!
The first thing that you’ll notice is that the space itself is quite small. There’s only a couple of tables, a bar, a kitchen, and that’s it. But what they lack in physical space, they more than make up for in the size of their chicken.
Their wings are huge! We started thinking that the saying “everything’s bigger in Texas” was true!
For us, you should give their Spicy Garlic Parmesan and their cheesecake a try! Although the sauce was good, there were just too many of them to choose from – 87 to be exact. They’re all good, but you’ll spend lots of money if you want to try everything.
But if it’s your first time, then their Mild Buffalo Minced Garlic is a good first choice. And since that particular flavor is their bestseller for 2019, we gave it a try and it does live up to its title! It has the right amount of spice and is good if you want a mild-level spicy.
However, if you want to challenge yourself and explore a little, then we recommend the Caribbean Jerk – it’s so spicy that you’re going to regret not having a drink. Jokes aside, it’s flavorful, unlike other spicy chicken where the spicy overrides the flavor.
A little pro tip from us, visit them personally on Mondays – Thursdays at 3 PM – 5 PM. That’s their designated Happy Hour, and you can get 15% off on their menu items!

Pros
- Plenty of delicious menu options
- Great pescatarian options
- Refreshing drinks
- Wings are always perfectly cooked
Cons
- A bit too expensive
With Bayou and wing sauce options aplenty, Wing Quarter Daiquiris & Creole Kitchen provides a nice dining experience for both wing connoisseurs and food enthusiasts alike.
Their wing sauce options are great! It complements the crispy wings well, and there’s lots to choose from. If you’re going for a sauce, we recommend you give the Lemon Pepper and the Louisiana Gold a try!
Their Bayou options are a must-try, too! Our top pick is the Crawfish Etouffe. It has that traditional Louisiana taste, and mixing the white rice can really bring the flavors together.
And if you want a pescatarian option, then they got you covered on that, too! The Atchafalaya Special has these big cuts of fish and shrimp and a cup of dirty rice. It’s also covered in the same batter as the wings which gives it that really nice crunch.
But all this deliciousness comes at a steep price. To put it in perspective, the cheapest menu option, a sausage gumbo, comes in at $10. The St. James’ Special costs $16, and that’s the cheapest seafood option!
It’s all worth the price though, especially their Frozen Daiquiries. If you want a refreshing drink, then you should get the Upper Riverside. It’s a margarita with mango, and it’s mild and refreshing, so you won’t need to call an Uber if you drive there.

Pros
- Inside and patio seating options
- Lifetime Great pricing
- Dessert options are good
- Mix-and-match flavors
Cons
- Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
Probably one of the most unique wings stop in Houston, Dreamwings’ seating and food options make up for the fact that they’re not open on Mondays and Tuesdays!
What makes Dreamwings unique compared to other wing stops in Houston is the fact that you can sit outside and enjoy your meals outside! And don’t worry, there’s plenty of shade so you won’t have to whip out the sunscreens even in the Houston sun.
Their food options don’t fall in the shade, either! Every wing sauce option is good, and there are 20 sauce options to choose from. In our opinion, the Alfredo sauce is a must-try!
The only (and we can’t stress this enough) thing we did not like about Dreamwings is that they’re not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. So if you want a taste of one of the best wings in Houston after a gloomy Monday, then you’re out of luck.
They’re still worth a visit, though! And they have a daily promo where you can get 12 wings for $27. And considering the flavor of their Alfredo sauce, that’s definitely a steal!
