A date night at Activate Houston is great for couples who enjoy being active, playing games, and having some friendly competition. The experience feels like being inside a video game (like in the movie Tron) and that’s why it’s so fun!
Activate offers a unique, customizable experience where guests select a room or micro-arena, pick a game, and set the difficulty. Once done, the challenge must be completed until time runs out.
For example, in the room “Control”, guests will need to use wit, hand-eye coordination, and footwork to win the challenge. The room “Strike” requires players to accurately hit a target on a screen, so speed and precision will be useful.

To make it even more fun, go on a double date with another couple! Activate’s micro-arenas allow four people at a time to play the game. Perfect not just for a date night, but for an outing with friends too!

What makes mini golf fun at Puttshack are the mechanics. Instead of aiming for the lowest score, players score points based on their shots—getting a hole-in-one gives you 50 points, for example.

At Shot of Art, you don’t just get a brush—you get a BB gun! Guests shoot balloons filled with paint, and as each one pops, vibrant colors splatter onto a canvas. A spinning machine then blends the paint, resulting in a one-of-a-kind abstract masterpiece.
There’s also an option to use a water gun to shoot neon paint at your date in a dark private room. You can paint the walls and the floor however you like to make the entire room glow neon.

The Couples Challenge allows curious pairs to work on two projects. Each booking includes one pottery wheel per couple, so take the chance to do your best impression of that iconic scene from Ghost–just keep it PG, of course!
The $96 price tag may seem a bit steep, but it also includes the lessons for “throwing” (the term for creating something on a pottery wheel), studio time, clay, and the bisque firing to finish off your creations.
