Their witty signature ramen bowls, MI-SO-HOT (features a spicy pork bone broth, a miso blend, goma pork, ajitama egg, napa cabbage, bean sprout, corn, and sesame seeds) and MI-SO-NOT (same dish without the spice) are absolute favorites!

Of course, diners won’t go wrong with The OG, Ramen Tatsu-ya’s take on the classic tonkotsu ramen! For those looking for a more dense broth, try their Tsukemen ramen bowl, which has a thickened pork broth that’s used as a dipping broth for cold noodles.

Tiger Den is a charming little spot that feels like a cozy izakaya in Japan. A hidden gem in Asian Town (because it’s a bit hard to find), this ramen bar prides itself in fresh, homemade broth and, in true izakaya fashion, yakitori dishes!

They offer tonkotsu, shoyu, and miso ramen, but we recommend the classic Tonkotsu ramen topped with pork chashu and ajitsuke tamago! For those who love a spicy kick to their ramen, the Tantan-Men with spicy minced pork is also a must-try.

Of course, eating here won’t be complete without trying some of their yakitori! Try their Chicken Heart (Soy Tare) or Gizzard (Soy Tare) to go with your ramen. For dessert, their pandan custard doughnuts are worth tasting as well.

Their Spicy Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen, which are both spicy Asahikawa-style broth topped with pork belly, are our top recommendations! For the brothless ramen, we recommend trying the Spicy Mazemen.

(Brothless ramen may sound bizarre, but it still feels like a warm hug even without soup! This dish relies heavily on its seasonings and toppings for flavor so it still hits the spot for ramen cravings.)

Ninja Ramen has plenty of cocktails and drinks on their menu, so make sure to try one to partner with your ramen! They also have an awesome selection of Japanese whiskey that’s perfect for a chill night out.

Ramen Jin is another local favorite ramen joint known for their flavorful pork-broth and tender meat toppings! Their Tonkotsu ramen stays faithful to the original Hakata style, so those looking for authentic tonkotsu will find it here.

For something different, their spicy miso veggie ramen is also fantastic, with a soy broth, bamboo shoots, and green onion (typically served with a soft-boiled egg but vegetarians can opt it out).

Kyuramen became viral on social media for their beehive-inspired wall seating and Instagram-worthy interiors. But it’s not just their decor that stands out–their modern take on Japanese cuisine is impressive as well!

Their signature Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu, which has pork broth and chashu pork, is their best dish. For a spicy version, try the Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen.

Other crowd favorites are the Yin Yang Bowl (served in a partitioned bowl with shrimp tempura ramen on one side and chashu pork ramen on the other) and the Katsuobushi Pork Ramen, which has a braised pork belly and katsuobushi toppings.

For fans of fusion cuisine, try their Korean Kimchi Ramen! It’s similar to their signature tonkotsu ramen with kimchi added on top.

They have the classic tonkotsu, miso, and shoyu broth served with different tender meat toppings, flavorful garnishes, and homemade noodles. Customers can choose between the thin and firm noodles or the thick and chewy ones.

For the thin noodles, try the Shiro Tonkotsu, a Hokkaido-style ramen with a milky and rich broth. For the thick noodles, try their Miso Shouyu Ramen, which features chicken broth with pork belly, green onions, corn, bean sprouts, and a slice of butter.

For a unique experience, try their dry ramen dishes! The Spicy Garlic Dry Hakata Noodle features thin noodles in shoyu and spicy garlic sauce. And don’t miss the Musashino, a brothless option with thick noodles, sesame oil, and pork belly.

Pro Tip:
If you’re ordering a tonkotsu ramen Samurai Noodle, try ordering the “extra rich” option for the broth for a more rich taste.
