Not only do they have a ton of pumpkins to choose from (we’re talking all shapes and sizes), but they also have horse rides, mini-train rides, and farm animals roaming about.

Anyone who is looking for a quieter experience should try visiting on a weekday instead of the weekend. You’ll avoid the crowds and have more space to yourself while you explore all that Old MacDonalds has to offer. Plus, your social media photos will look way better without a bunch of people in the background.

Every year we aim to go to the charity pumpkin patch at Halter Inc and find some of the ripest pumpkins to pick! 

We always make sure to bring some extra cash for the delicious food vendors. The fresh kettle corn and hot apple cider are not to be missed!

If you’re planning on picking your own pumpkin, make sure to bring gloves. Also, if you’re planning on taking home some big pumpkins, bring along a wagon or cart to make it easier to transport them back to your car.

Look for pumpkins with a flat base so it sits nicely on your front porch and also check for any bumps or bruises that might make carving difficult.
