Phone Number: 713-528-2264
Hours: Sunday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Friday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
A Houston restaurant that screams “passion” from the get-go, Ouisie’s (pronounced wee-zee)’s Table has hosted plenty of wedding parties over the past years. After all, what’s more passionate than having a grand wedding in their beautiful garden?
Since Ouisie’s Table is predominantly a restaurant, you won’t have to worry too much about the catering! We suggest going with the beef and chicken options, but they also have vegetarian-friendly dishes.
Their catering service can rack up your bill, since they charge by the dozen and not by tray. However, their catering service is a lot more convenient, and you know that you’re in good hands since their chef and owner can make some excellent dishes.
Pro Tips: Ouisie’s Table is a hot commodity when it comes to wedding venues, so we suggest booking them right after you and your partner get engaged! Their wait time for events can be as long as half a month, depending on the season. |
2. Houston Zoo
Address: Hermann Park, 6200 Hermann Park Dr, Houston, TX 77030

Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Nothing screams a “unique” wedding venue than a zoo – and if you love animals, then Houston Zoo is the perfect place! The best thing about this venue is you can take your pick on any of their available spaces!
You can choose from an ocean aquarium to a conservation center and even a pavilion! The smaller spaces, like the ocean aquarium, can seat 20 people but the bigger event spaces like the Masihara Pavillion can seat up to 200!
Houston Zoo can also provide the catering service for your wedding, which is a nice touch. They have quite posh menu items like Garlic Smashed Potatoes, and Spanakopitas!
Pro Tips: If you plan to have your wedding at the Houston Zoo, we strongly suggest doing it during the spring, especially if you’re having your wedding outside. The sights are prettier, and you can enjoy the spring air in the middle of your vows! |
3. Saint Arnold Brewing Company
Address: 2000 Lyons Ave, Houston, TX 77020

If you and your partner love beer, then you should look at what Saint Arnold Brewing Company has to offer. After all, you’re not just getting a place to get married in – you’re also getting beers for free, too!
Saint Arnold Brewing Company is more suited for medium to large weddings since both of their spaces, the Investor’s Pub and the Beer Hall, can seat 60 and 100 people respectively. These events have an Irish feel to it too, which is a nice touch.
Much like all the items on the list, they can also provide a catering menu for your wedding! They serve them buffet style, but if you want to wow your wedding guests then we suggest the Tender Prime Rib and Unagi Eggplant. You can get beers for free, too!

The Bell Tower on 34th’s wedding package also gives access to the Bridal Suite for two hours for a bridal photoshoot! You can also get a 30-minute ceremony rehearsal before the big event too, you’ll just need to give a heads-up ahead of time.
Pro Tips: If you’re attending a wedding at The Bell Tower on 34th, we strongly urge you to come early and account for Houston’s traffic. When they say they’ll close the doors, they REALLY close the doors, and you’ll be denied entry if you’re late. |
5. The Astorian
Address: 2500 Summer St, Houston, TX 77007
Phone Number: 832-460-6695
Hours: Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday – Monday: Closed
Holding your wedding at a building that was made more than 100 years ago is an experience of a lifetime. Though you’ll be paying $4000 for a weekday and twice for a weekend, The Astorian’s beauty alone is more than worth it.
The Astorian more than makes up for it in elegance and class. It has a 14-foot ceiling and a 12-foot, fully-functioning, gold-and-silver plated clock.
Their main event hall can seat up to 450 people, and it can even go up to 500 if you’re not using the dancefloor. They don’t have a catering service in-house, so you’ll have to contact their partner or bring in your preferred catering service.
Pro Tips: Though the parking situation at The Astorian isn’t difficult, it can be excessively expensive, since their parking costs $40. There is a free parking garage but be prepared to walk since it’s a couple of miles away. |
6. The Vault Venue
Address: 415 N Washington Ave, Livingston, TX 77351
Phone Number: 713-449-9983
Hours: Varies per event
If you want to take your wedding outside of Houston while still maintaining some of that Houston charm, then we recommend getting married at The Vault Venue! It’s about an hour to an hour and a half away from downtown, considering Houston’s traffic.
Aptly named after its past of being the first-ever bank in Livingston, The Vault Venue is now an events space that’s suited for large, grand weddings. It can seat up to 200 people and there’s even a second floor that can seat 175 more!
The price for all of this? Somewhere in the ballpark of $3500 on the weekdays, $5500 on Fridays, $6500 on Saturdays, and $4500 on Sundays. That means that booking the venue on the weekends is logistically the soundest thing to do.
Pro Tips: There’s absolutely no parking in The Vault Venue, like nothing. We strongly suggest booking a room at a nearby hotel and just Ubering from there, or park at the nearby parking garage for a couple of dollars. |
7. Bryan Museum

Address: 1315 21st St, Galveston, TX 77550
Phone Number: 409-220-3020
Hours: Monday – Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Getting married at a museum sounds like a dream – but it’s a possibility in Houston! A former orphanage that has seen a new breath of life, the Bryan Museum is now a museum andevents space!
There are some caveats if you want to get married at the Bryan Museum though. One, you can only get married between 5 PM to 10 PM, and if you find their beer options lacking, then you’ll have to pay $100 extra to change it.
Those minor inconveniences aside, the Bryan Museum has a great selection of venues! You can choose between a Gazebo or a Conservatory – both can seat up to 140 people, and their only notable difference is whether you want to get married outside or not.
Regarding money, both cost around the same, but the Conservatory does cost $2000 less compared to the Gazebo when it’s not during the peak season. During the peak season though, both venues will cost $2000 more.
Pro Tips: If you want to have your wedding at the Bryan Museum, we strongly suggest booking a year or two in advance, especially if you plan to get married during the peak season of March to May and October to December. |
8. Ronin Harrisburg
Address: 3501 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77003
Phone Number: 713-551-1450
Hours: Varies per event
If you’re looking to combine your passion for the arts with an open-air wedding, then we suggest checking out Ronin Harrisburg! It seats a bit less compared to other venues on this list at 120 people, but the pretty space alone makes it worth it.
What makes Ronin Harrisburg unique is the sheer amount of space present within the venue. While it can only seat 120 people it’s incredibly spacious inside since it was previously an industrial space.
Ronin Harrisburg’s prices vary depending on the wedding and the size, but generally, you’re looking to pay somewhere along the ballpark of $2500. Prices can also change on the time of the day and the year, with the peak months seeing almost double prices.
Pro Tips: Though Ronin Harrisburg is a good space, they can’t provide the catering service for your wedding. Thus, we suggest hiring a catering company beforehand. |
9. Crystal Ballroom at The Rice
Address: The Rice, 909 Texas Ave #106f, Houston, TX 77002
Phone Number: 713-227-7423
Hours: Open 24 hours/Varies per event
If you want your special day to be dripping in jewels without looking tacky, then we suggest checking the Crystal Ballroom at The Rice for a one-of-a-kind, turn-of-a-century wedding!
The Crystal Ballroom’s uniqueness lies in the fact that it has retained most of its original, 1913 style construction methods. The tasteful, off-white walls and the crystal chandeliers can make any event that much more special!
Also, the Crystal Ballroom also charges per person rather than the entire venue itself. It can seat up to 350 people, but they charge $75 per person so that’s something to keep in mind.
Pro Tips: Unfortunately, the parking situation at the Crystal Ballroom leaves more to be desired. There’s no free parking within the hotel, but you can park at the nearby Sunny’s Bar for free – if there’s space left! |
10. The Historic Heights Fire Station

Address: 107 W 12th St, Houston, TX 77008

Saturday: 12:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
With a unique premise that’s unlike any of the other items on the list, The Historic Heights Fire Station lets you take your vows in front of one of Houston’s oldest buildings.
Built in 1918, this building retains most of its original design, along with a few additions since its restoration way back in 2018. Their event space also has two floors along with a private park that you can use for weddings, too!
Renting the place out for weddings can cost somewhere between $3500 to $7800, plus the catering. It’s a lot, but you’re also getting the place for longer than average (6 hours), along with having your wedding at one of Houston’s prettiest buildings!
Pro Tips: If you want your wedding to be a little extra, we suggest availing the classic limo to drive your bride-to-be to The Historic Heights Fire Station! It’ll cost a bit more, but the awe on your guests’ faces makes it worth it! |
