Right from the start, we heard tons of people recommend this place for a complete pampering experience. 

Obviously, we had to see what the hype was all about! Spoiler alert, we were not disappointed.

Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly by the staff. After which, we took a minute to see which service we’ll be getting because there were a lot of options! 

The zero gravity lounge chairs were so comfortable, particularly the relief they provided in the lower back area — it was quite the experience!

We really appreciated the fantastic facilities the spa had. We took a lot of time relaxing in the cold multi-sensory shower, scent steam room, and the tranquility pool. 

The multi-sensory shower is a combination of water jets that adjust the pressure depending on the entire mood being set up, along with aroma therapy and lighting effects.

That, in particular, is really invigorating because of how it stimulates all the senses and is something we are definitely coming back for.

We do want to point out that we paid a lot of service charges, which we were quite surprised about. We wish the company could have been more transparent with these things from the get-go. 

Overall, the experience was great and we still enjoyed our time. There’s plenty to explore, especially with the number of services that are offered here.

Customers that we have spoken to say they always come back for Milk + Honey. So, when we were trying out the best spas around the city, we just had to come and see this place for ourselves!

We love the design of its interiors, it’s a mix of rustic and industrial. The aesthetic is such a reflection of the vibe of the place where functionality and strength are intertwined with warmth and a keen sense of feeling at home.

The front desk staff that assisted us was kind, jolly, and seemed to enjoy their work here – which is great and speaks a lot about the company.

We scheduled a two-hour deep tissue massage since we were experiencing back discomfort from working out. We felt that we could unwind since our therapists were friendly.

They even offered us some exercises to do at home to assist with our tight regions, including our neck and shoulders!

However, we had a friend who previously had a not-so-glowing time with her massage here. Though, her experience did not align with ours. 

For instance, her therapist did not ask her about the pressure of the massage, which our therapists did for us. 

Perhaps it’s important to note that finding your preferred therapist is a must, and when you do, remember them when you return! 

With its credentials, our expectations were high coming in Hiatus Spa + Retreat. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by the staff right away and were immediately hooked on the alluring scent of the place!

After checking in, we were assisted to the locker room area where the staff provided us with a robe and slippers. 

We appreciated that the spa also had complementary scrubs, soaps, and a variety of lotions to use as needed!

Our best advice is to arrive around 20 minutes earlier than your appointment so that you can have more time to enjoy the free amenities, such as warm herbal teas or fruit-infused drinks if you want something cold instead.

Our masseuse definitely assisted us in easing some of the discomfort and stiffness we had been experiencing throughout the long work week! He also gave good pointers on posture to mitigate the discomfort we had.

The best offering this spa has is its H-circle club membership where you can get significant discounts on its services! 

We love how it incentivizes repeat customers or people who plan to make the spa experience a part of their lifestyle. 

One room for improvement is the maintenance of its female shower area. 

In our experience, there was still hair from the previous user on the floor. All in all, it could use some deep cleaning around the corners.

Off the bat, what blew us away upon arriving at Fiori Spa is the architecture of the place. It’s like having a piece of Italy in Houston! 

The spa resembles cinematic homes in Tuscany late in the afternoon. It’s simply beautiful.

Upon arriving, we immediately noticed the rustic décor. It could use a bit of upkeep, but nevertheless, it still looked great and had a sense of charm. 

Prior to coming, some of our friends who were previous clients had issues with the manager of the place, so we were quite concerned. 

But we were glad our experience was woefully different. Perhaps the old negative reviews have been addressed by the company.

The front desk personnel, Eric, took us for a tour of the place. The most noteworthy amenities are the European sun deck and the underground hot tub.

The European sun deck had several sun loungers with a mini pool and resembled a small Italian resort. It also had adequate space if you’re planning to throw an event here.

There are private rooms for clients to take a quick nap after their sessions. It’s specifically located near the back end so that there is less foot traffic from other clients, and hence, more peaceful.

One client we got in touch with said that after his massage, he always gets the best nap because of how quiet the room is. And from our experience, he was right. 

Being one of the longest-running day spas in Houston, Sanctuary Spa is a recommended day spa, especially for older clients. 

From what we have observed, the place is usually fully booked even on weekdays. We did, however, learn that you can give them a call just in case a slot opens up.

During our visit, we noticed that the staff assisted their clients to a cozy waiting room where heavy-duty massage chairs were available to use.

Snacks and warm beverages were also offered just in case clients needed to wait for their session a little longer.

Furthermore, the consensus among massage therapists is very positive. For instance, a client we spoke to noted that her therapist gave her simple stretches to do to alleviate her neck problems.

We also liked how the spa’s massage tables are heated. This small detail adds a lot of comfort and helps in relaxing the muscles.

After talking to the staff, they noted that after our session, we could still use the cozy waiting rooms.

We love the fact that Sanctuary Spa is not in a hurry to push its clients out even after their time there.

While that’s a good thing, this must be the reason why the place is always full, and why accommodating incoming clients can be an issue.

That being said, we must admit, this is one of the best day spas we have seen!

The NOW Massage in Houston Heights in one of this amazing chain of spas’ locations.

We like that those in the area get to experience their next-level massages, nourishing products and high-vibration crystals.

We think it’s the perfect place to escape the city crowds and unwind!

This is the place to go to for affordable, yet high quality massages. What we love is how they have a variety of massages to choose from, and we can even opt for enhancements like gua sha, herbal heat therapy and more.

We like that they have their own app so that each guest will have a touchless check in and check out for their safety.

You can also choose to become a member so you can get savings once or twice a month.

The only downside to The NOW Massage is that their prices vary per location.

All in all, we’re really happy to recommend them to you and we think you’ll enjoy your time her as much as we did!

Headed and operated by David Garza, he is highly trained when it comes to the treatments that they offer and has since then had over 9 years of practice in the field.

Past clients have commended him for his pleasant personality and highly effective treatments that has enabled them to have long-lasting relief and resolution for their differing bodily concerns upon starting treatment with him.

Furthermore, their sessions are also customizable to the needs and preferences of the client to help them get personalized sessions at affordable rates and jam-packed times.

Note though that each session is rated according to the time spent during the treatment and an increase in pricing will be expected by 2023.

Nonetheless, with their flexible scheduling procedures, highly efficient massage and therapy services, and comfortable and relaxing environment, we strongly recommend them to clients in the area looking for excellent massage services at low cost.
