From our observations of the groomers at Peek-A-Boo, we can verify the claims to be true. Right away, we noted how the staff at this grooming parlor puts their client’s pet’s health and happiness first.  

However, do note that it is difficult to get a hold of the staff at Peek-A-Boo and schedule a grooming appointment. This may be due to their advanced bookings. 

Still, the passion that Eon, who is in charge of Peek-A-Boo and the lead groomer, displays for clientele is evident when you watch him work. Also, the grooming team keeps up with the current trends and practices, demonstrating their clear passion and knowledge of dog grooming.  

While offering personalized cuts and styles, Peek-A-Boo also provides additional services. Some of the services provided by Peek-A-Boo are nail grinding, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, paw pad shaving, and teeth brushing. 

Throughout the grooming process, we noted that the groomers at Peek-A-Boo take their time bathing and styling their clientele’s dogs. We like that for dogs who have severe anxiety, the groomers handle those dogs carefully and avoid causing unnecessary stress and pain while grooming. 

We like how all the groomers text their clientele and send photos of their dogs in the grooming process to relieve worried owners of undue stress. 

We also like how the groomers give a full rundown of the treatment and the dog’s behavior at the end of the grooming treatment. They offer advice and tips too. 

By the way, all dogs who get their grooming done here need valid immunization records.

Puddy Cuts is a full-service pet grooming studio offering personalized services to pet owners and their dogs. At least, that’s what previous clients told us. 

From our observations of Puddy Cuts, we liked how their clean, low-stress atmosphere makes it easy for dogs who are stressed and anxious about grooming to be at ease. 

Furthermore, we liked how the lead groomer, Steve, has been in the grooming business for years and is a member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America. This demonstrates that he is very knowledgeable about what it takes to handle dogs and groom them properly. 

We also like Steve’s various dog grooming services, such as soaking baths, anal gland expression, gentle hand brushing, blow-drying, nail clipping and grinding, ear and eye cleaning, ear plucking, and more. 

Although most of his dog grooming is by scheduled appointments in advance, he can accept puppies at the last minute because they do not take as long to groom. Additionally, for each dog he grooms, he requires proof of vaccination. 

While some complain that he takes a long time to groom their dogs, as he does not have a quick turnaround, this can be understandable. As we noted, Steve is a perfectionist when it comes to grooming his client’s dogs. 

Regardless of the turnaround time, we like that he doesn’t rush through the process until he’s satisfied that the customers will be happy with how their dogs look.

Khaled of I Pet You Grooming demonstrates clear communication and excellent customer service in handling his clients and their dogs. 

First of all, Khaled was super friendly and approachable upon first meeting. Plus, all his staff was professional and willing to accommodate different clientele dogs’ needs. 

Khaled has a variety of cut styles too, from clean-shaven and short trims to custom cuts according to a customer’s requests. We like how he also uses products that are non-toxic to dogs.

What stands out to us about Khaled as a groomer is that he demonstrates clear communication with clients by sending text messages throughout the grooming process to provide updates to owners.

Additionally, we like how knowledgeable Khalid is as a groomer. For example, one of his clients brought in a poodle, and he knew not to cut the hair too short because if he did, their dog would have irritated and sensitive skin due to exposure to the sun. 

We also like how he provides a small extra gift with every dog he grooms… such as a collar, handkerchief, and bows. 

While some have commented to us about the efficiency of the staff being less than what they expected, we took into consideration that I Pet You Grooming is a smaller business. So there are not as many employees here as at a large dog grooming salon. 

Loyl’s Natural Pet Grooming and Grocery has a reputation among local dog owners for being the spot to go for healthy pet snacks. However, they also provide grooming.

When we first spoke with the groomer on the phone, we learned they have three different dog grooming packages and additional services like blueberry facials and teeth brushing available for an extra fee. However, they only cater to dogs under 70 pounds. 

Despite this, the groomers at Loyl’s natural pet Grooming and Grocery displayed professionalism and patience when handling our dogs and in their customer service with us.

First of all, we liked how before they began, they inquired about our preferred lengths and asked for the names and numbers of our previous barbers. This demonstrated to us that they are willing to go as far as to understand a dog’s grooming history to know how to serve you and your dog best. 

Additionally, the grooming paperwork we had to fill out when we arrived also showed

 how much they cared to learn about our dog and its quirks. 

Yet, in the paperwork, we did notice a few specifications that may cause problems for other dog owners. For example, if a dog is aggressive and noncompliant during the grooming process, Loyl’s Grooming charges extra fees. 

So those who have dogs that are not friendly, we wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you don’t mind the extra fees. 

Additionally, they do not take sedated dogs or those on medication. All of the dogs they groom also must have their rabies, DHPP, and bordetella vaccines – so don’t come here without your dog’s vaccine records. 

Furthermore, we noted beforehand that the final price for our dog’s grooming would change depending on the coat condition, de-matting, behavior, weight, and more. 

Still, regardless of these clauses in the grooming paperwork agreement, we like how their groomers are efficient, reliable, and cheap. 

Although we weren’t allowed to stay and watch during the grooming process, we liked how the staff listened to our grooming requests and let us know as soon as our dog was ready.

Many we spoke to about The Top Dawgz Salon claim that the groomers here are trained professionals and give your dog a pampering experience. 

Others remarked on the exceptional care they give to their canine customers. On the other hand, others commented that the groomers here do not demonstrate clear communication and often do not follow grooming requests. 

From our observations of Top Dawgz’s interactions with their clients and their grooming process, we can testify that some of these claims are valid. 

First of all, the groomers at Top Dawgz at first appeared friendly and kind, but when faced with difficult customer dilemmas, we noted that some on the staff were harsh in their communication. Perhaps their harsh tone of voice was to emphasize the dangers behind grooming a dog with health issues, stress, etc.  

Still, we did like how the staff at Top Dawgz was clear about their services offered. We like the variety of grooming treatments Top Dawgz offers, including aesthetic-free teeth scaling; blueberry facials; premium and medicated shampoo baths, and more. 

Furthermore, we like how additional services are a part of the standard grooming, such as nail filing, ear irrigation, and anal gland expression. Plus, they also take puppies here for their first grooming experience, but like older dogs, they request that puppies have vaccine records.

Moreover, we liked how the groomers thoroughly groom each dog, cutting any stray hairs that look out of place, filing nails until they aren’t sharp, and more. 

From observing the groomers work with dogs of different sizes, we like how their methods of calming down dogs changed depending on the dog breed they were grooming. 

Although some have claimed that groomers here do not follow customer’s requests, we think this might’ve been because the groomers here avoid following requests if the dog is at risk. 

For example, we noted the groomers do not shave too much hair off in order to not irritate the dog skin, or they might have to shave more, depending on if there are fleas or mats. 

Despite their thorough grooming, we didn’t like how they took forever to complete the grooming. Some dog groomings we noted took more than two hours. 

While we can understand why the grooming process may take longer, we think it is better to communicate this clearly with the customers. This way, there are no misunderstandings, but in this case, the groomers here did not do so.

Additionally, we noted the groomers warn multiple customers with older dogs that their dogs may experience unnecessary pain if under stress and that any injury is unavoidable by the groomers themselves.

Yet, we think if a groomer demonstrates efficiency and knowledge of older dogs, this will help avoid potential injuries.
