Pros

  • Rock chip repairPlenty of services offeredservices
  • Spa pedicure available
  • Relaxing atmosphere
  • Two services can be availed together

Cons

  • Lack of promos/discounts

If you want a place where you can relax and unwind while getting your nails done, then SoHo is THE Houston nail salon that you should visit. Their services are enough to make us wish they had any discounts!

Their atmosphere has this relaxing vibe going on thanks to its color and decor. We got the deluxe spa pedicure with the shellac gel added for our day out. And even if it did cost a pretty penny, it was worth it.

The nail techs are knowledgeable and professional, and though they finished our treatment a bit faster compared to other Houston nail salons, the quality of work that they’ve done is definitely worth admiring.

And if you’re in for a little bit of a pampering day, then you should try their signature spa pedicure since the package includes a full-body massage, too. That, with the overall vibe of the place, really makes you think if it’s a nail salon.

And we know we’ve mentioned it earlier, but it would really help SoHo if they do have some discounts. The treatment that we got costs well over $70 – and though it’s worth it, it made us anxious for our wallets even if we’re supposed to be relaxing.

In the greater scheme of things though, it’s a price that’s worth paying for for an executive-style service on the weekends. We tried the Age Smart Signature Facial on our next visit and we really liked it, too!

Pros

  • Special promo for new clients
  • Easy check-in online
  • Good for a girl’s day out
  • Personalized facials
  • Plenty of services available

Cons

  • Nails are easily chapped

Lux Nail Spa is a really nice way to end a girls’ day out, and for a reasonable price, too! You can get your mani-pedi done for as low as $48 at the cheapest, after all.

We liked how easy it was to book an appointment at Lux. Since their website has a QR code you can scan to check it, it only took us a couple of minutes to check ourselves to end our day out.

We got their facial treatment along with getting our nails done, and it was a blast! Each of us got a different facial treatment depending on our skin type which was a very welcome experience. Our nails came out beautifully well done, too!

Now speaking of our nails, we do have to tell you that they did start to crack a couple of hours after our appointment. And though we’re not quite sure what caused this, this hasn’t happened at other Houston nail salons.

But we’re not blaming them, as their service is great. We had to guess it had something to do with the nail polish and the coating that they used since we couldn’t see what brand they were using.

That’s not enough for us to completely hate them though – on the contrary, we loved our experience in Lux Nail Salon! Plus, you can bring your kids under the age of 10 here and give them that Lux experience, too!

P.S. If it’s your first time being a customer at Lux then you can get a 15% discount on any of their services! Just show the ad that pops up on their website and you’re good to go!

Pros

  • Services for both kids, adults, and men
  • Everything is disinfected per use
  • Plenty of miscellaneous services
  • Reasonable price point

Cons

  • Long wait time

If you’re a bit of a clean freak (like ourselves) then you’ll definitely like how CH Nail Studio disinfects and cleans every piece of equipment every use. And yes we know that means you’ll have to wait a bit longer, but it’s worth it!

For starters, everyone’s welcome to start an appointment at CH. Yes, that means your kid and your boyfriend/husband can get treatment, too. Think of it this way: while you get your nails done, your partner can get a massage. Sounds like a good deal, no?

Speaking of getting your nails done, their regular polish full set is really nice. They apply the polish well and it comes out looking posh. The husband also got an amazing massage, and he looked happy afterwards, too.

The only thing that we didn’t appreciate as much was that we had to wait a bit longer than expected since they disinfected everything. But if it’s for the sake of ensuring that everything they use is clean, then the wait time’s worth it.

And speaking of worth it, their dip powder French tip is totaly worth it, too! Though it does cost $60, you can visit them at 9:30 AM to 2 PM from Mondays to Wednesdays and you’ll get a 10% discount on that, which is a good deal among Houston nail salons.

Pros

  • Short wait time
  • Walk-ins are accepted
  • Complimentary drinks are available
  • Artificial nails are well-made

Cons

  • Expensive services

One thing that really makes Milano Nail Spa different from other Houston nail salons is the fact that you can enjoy their service in more ways than one. Their nail service is good, while getting a little buzz going on in the middle, too!

Yes – Milano has a complimentary drink menu that you can choose from while waiting for your appointment. You can choose to have either sodas or wines or if you’re feeling a bit adventurous that day then you can have mimosas, too!

After you’ve had your pick of their complimentary drinks then you can start with your appointment, which definitely doesn’t disappoint in the least. Their Royal Pedicure, specifically, deserves to be mentioned as you can relax while getting your nails done.

And though we really liked the service at Milano’s it’s definitely a nice day-out nail salon compared to a once-a-month experience. Every service they have is expensive, and even the Royal Pedicure costs $70, and that’s without counting in taxes.

But you’re getting more than just a treatment, and it does include a complimentary mimosa as long as you present an ID, so we do think it’s worth the price,

Score Consistency4.5/5

Pros

  • Professional staff
  • Equipment and products change with trends
  • Personalized treatments available
  • Massages are available (depends on treatments)

Cons

  • Prices depend on market value

Sojourn De Nails prides themselves as being a “boujie” Houston nail salon. And trust us – with their excellent personalized treatments and their attention to detail, it’s not an unfounded claim.

We appreciated the fact that their products change as time goes on, and they don’t just stick to one product for a long time. This shows that they do research on what works better on a specific type of skin, and adjust their products accordingly.

They also offer personalized treatments for you, too! All you have to do is sit down and tell them what you want, and they’ll try to do it for you depending on the equipment that they have at the moment.

We also liked their waxing service, too! It’s not as painful as you’d expect, and there are no bumps or leftover hairs left afterward. And they’ll wax everything – well, except the bikini area, that is.

But we do have to warn you that you’d have to be a bit cautious when availing these two treatments especially. Their price may go up and down since their price depends on the market, so you’d either have to pay more or less than you expected.

That’s not to undermine Sojourn De Nails’ credibility though, as their other service with a fixed price (*ahem, the Classic*) is really good value for money! Their massage is top-tier, and something you’ll need to experience for yourself!
