Immortalizing Memories: The 5 Best Photography Studios in Houston

Immortalizing Memories The 5 Best Photography Studios in Houston
  • Great rates: Photography isn’t a cheap business to get into, so most studios in Houston tend to charge high prices. That’s why we’re looking for ones that offer great rates, while still providing professional service!
  • Plenty of services offered: A good photography studio in Houston shouldn’t just be a one-trick pony - they should offer more than just wedding or event coverage to make them great!
  • Pretty backgrounds: Photography studios in Houston with pretty backgrounds is a must - nobody likes to have their photos taken with a bad background, after all!
  • Available for events: The photography studios that we’re looking for should be available for an event, too. Houston is a large, busy city and events are everywhere, after all!
  • Professional photographers: You just know when a photographer is a professional from the get-go - and a photography studio in Houston with a professional crew can really make the experience worth it!

Pros

  • Beautiful backgrounds
  • Plenty of specialty photoshoots available
  • Mentorship programs are offered
  • Easy booking process

Cons

  • Required to pay for each photo

The Montrose Studios provides excellent photoshoot services that’s tailored to every Houstonian’s tastes. We really liked how both their backgrounds and the studio are very stylish, and their professional staff brings out the fun in the entire experience, too.

We also have to mention that The Montrose Studios offers mentorship programs for aspiring photographers! You can take part in Photoshop and Lightroom Classes, which can teach you some techniques and workflows that can help you work faster!

Now, although their photographers take amazing pictures, we have to say that you’re required to pay for every picture individually before you get them, which can make the price much higher than you’d expect.

But if you can afford to pay a little more extra, then we strongly recommend trying their photoshoots!

Most of them have a relatively good starting price, even if you will have to pay a bit extra to get more images. If you’re celebrating your birthday, we recommend trying out the regular birthday shoot, rather than the custom backdrop birthday shoot.

For one, the birthday shoot costs $50 less, and you can customize the color of the balloons so you won’t have to worry about the backdrop. Besides, if you take their Photoshop mentorship program then it’ll take you 5 minutes to change it by yourself.

Pros

  • Videography service for special occasions
  • Lifetime Specializes in event photographies
  • Great for business owners and realtors
  • Professional staff

Cons

  • No set price on shoots

What separates Pixel Studio Productions from other photography studios in Houston is the fact that they don’t just capture your special moments in photos – they can take videos of them and keep the memory special for you.

Their videography sessions capture the scene without them interfering. We worked with Anna, and she gave us a beautiful video with a smile. She’s wonderful to work with!

The rest of their crew is really nice, too! They’re all super friendly and are all very much professionals when it comes to their field. We can tell that they have so much passion for the arts and that they really love what they’re doing.

Pixel Studio Productions also offers product and real estate pictures as well, giving them a touch of versatility. Yes, it’s not for everyone but business owners or realtors can appreciate the updated pictures!

But though they take nice pictures, they don’t have a set price on their service. You’ll need to call them to get a quote first, which is a relatively small setback for a wonderful service.

Pros

  • Rock chip repair Lots of personal headshot options
  • Great prices on services
  • Natural light headshots are taken well
  • Commercial shots are great for businesses

Cons

  • Lack of events photography

Though they don’t have much to offer when it comes to event shoots, STP Images Photography Studio more than makes up for it with their excellent personal and business photoshoots.

STP Images Photography Studio specializes in headshots, offering three different types. We really liked how each of them, though similar, offered a different experience.

If you want a more professional headshot for your business, then the One-Light Headshot should be your best pick. It costs $275, and they give you an hour in the studio with great lighting and one head and shoulder shot for you to choose from.

Their Natural Light Headshots are great, too! Though it’s priced the same as the One-Light Headshots, the shots are more casual and can give off that friendlier vibe.

Pros

  • Corporate events available
  • AI-Generated background
  • Custom headshots available
  • Same-day delivery on all offers

Cons

  • Prices are a bit expensive

With stellar reviews all around and lots of offers, we understand why Solaris Studios is one of the must-visit photography studios in Houston.

They have similar services as other photography studios like headshots and corporate event coverages, but they also offer AI-generated backgrounds and custom headshots, too!

Although you’ll have to spend 30 minutes more inside the studio for the AI to generate the background that you want, it’s worth it!

Better still, we really liked how Solaris Studios delivers your head shots on the same day! It doesn’t apply to the AI-generated headshots, but their same-day guarantee works for most of their services, which is still very convenient.

But we do have to warn you that their prices are higher than expected, and you need to prepare to shell out almost $300 for a regular headshot. They only cover corporate events as well.

Pros

  • Nationwide service
  • Photobooth rentals
  • Lumen room shoots is perfect for families
  • Perfect for personal and corporate events

Cons

  • Expensive pricing

Trulove Studios is so much more than just a photography studio in Houston – especially considering that they can cater their service nationwide as well.

Give them a call and they’re likely to send a service your way, even if you live in New York! And they won’t just send photo booths, either – you can also avail their great event coverage in there with their great photographers, too!

Now, this bit of convenience does come with a setback – a pretty expensive one. Their prices are a bit more expensive compared to other photography studios in Houston, but considering that you can get the service anywhere in the country, it’s worth it.

We also have to mention that they offer portraits! Our suggestion goes to their Lumen room shoots since you’ll be photographed in a beautiful, white room and you can really get that fancy family photo you’ve always wanted.
