One of our team members had the opportunity to work with Josiah, a structural engineer at Crosstown Engineering. 

First of all, she liked how Josiah explained everything related to the job to her. She told us what made him a real pleasure to work with was his constant communication. 

Not only did Josiah spend a great deal of time thoroughly inspecting her home, but he was detailed in the report and evaluation of the changes needed for her home. Plus, she thought it was great that he always kept her up-to-date on the project process. 

What also stood out to our team member about Josiah was his ability to work collaboratively with the other professionals working on her home, such as the architects, and contractors. 

He was always willing to listen to others’ ideas and provide constructive feedback, which led to better outcomes for our team member.

While there is little to dislike about Josiah’s work, one area where he could improve is in his ability to manage his workload. Some of his other clients told us that they thought he took on more than he can handle, which occasionally led to delays in project completion. 

However, this was a minor issue that could be easily addressed through better time management and delegation.

Overall, based on our team member’s experience, Josiah’s technical expertise, collaborative approach, and commitment to excellence make him an ideal partner for any project.

One of the couples on our team worked with Levi Homes while renovating their entire townhome. 

From the beginning, when they made it clear to Levi the structural changes they were looking to have done with their home, Levi didn’t hold back from giving his honest opinion on adding bathrooms and additional rooms and converting the attic to a livable space. 

Although some of his advice was applicable, they noted he was limited in his flexibility in terms of standards and regulations. 

Our team members considered his rigidity to be limiting because their design process and aesthetics for their additional rooms had to be severely restricted.

Regardless, Levi and his team did their best to understand their wants, wish lists, and needs. They like how Levi even drew it out for them so they could see the changes in their original design. 

Moreover, the demolition, framing, and construction proceeded rapidly. The quality of the materials utilized and the precision of construction exceeded our team members’ expectations. 

Levi and his crew also discovered other preexisting problems with our team members’ townhome, and even went out of their way to fix them. 

From what our team members related to us, Levi is a hard-working structural engineer. Their project was successful since Levi and his team finished on schedule and under budget.

His strictness may give some people pause, but ultimately, that’s probably what you want from a structural engineer.

However, we feel like their pricing is an area for development. When we first inquired about the price, we thought they should have been upfront about their extra consulting structural engineers’ fees. 

Houston Structural Engineer & Consultant – Gerard J. Duhon, P.E. is an experienced and knowledgeable engineer with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality engineering services to his clients. At least, that’s what we’ve heard. 

So to test the validity of the claims we heard, one of our staff members contacted Gerard Duhon online for a couple of structural issues with his home. 

He received a response within a day of sending Gerard an initial email. He liked how Gerard was professional and friendly from the first meeting. 

But what our staff member liked the most about Gerard’s services was Gerard’s attention to detail and his ability to communicate technical information clearly and understandably. 

Gerard took the time to understand our staff member’s needs and concerns. He immediately inspected the foundation, identified the probable causes, and followed up with a written report.

He then gave guidance on the best course of action for making the structural foundation of his home stable as it was out of place. Our staff member was not a fan though of the high pricing for his inspection, because Gerard only provided advice on possible solutions.

In our observance of the structural engineers at INSIGHT Structures, Inc., we noted their flexibility in tailoring their designs to their clientele’s requirements. 

We liked how their structural engineers took the time to learn about the scope and limitations of the various projects they worked on to advise their clients on how to move forward. Furthermore, their staff quickly responded to any inquiries and addressed problems. 

From what we’ve seen in their portfolios and client projects, the structural design work produced by the structural engineers at INSIGHT is excellent and doesn’t break the bank. We thought it was great how their designs are functional and long-lasting, and we are a fan of how the structural engineers put safety first in all they do. 

The structural engineer team at INSIGHT Structures, Inc.’s capacity to cooperate with the rest of the project team was also impressive. They have excellent communication skills, work well as a team, and always carry out their project to a successful conclusion. 

We did, however, discover that INSIGHT is not outstanding at keeping to schedule with the projects they work on, which led to many delays that angered their customers. Yet, given the complexity and duration of some of their client projects, we could see why there were delays.
