Pros
- Non-anesthetic dental care
- Plenty of dental goodies
- Teaches emergency preventive care
- Convenient curbside services
Cons
- Long lines for curbside service
One of the first things we noted about this clinic is that they offer curbside service and consultation over the telephone. We love that, obviously, since both options are convenient for pet owners.
However, the downside to using their curbside service in particular is that due to its convenience, there’s always a long line in a long wait to see the veterinarian this way.
Moreover, we like how the veterinary team educates pet owners with face-to-face appointments about preventive care. The vets here teach how to handle any pet emergencies that may arise and give tips to stay calm too.
But what stands out to us the most about Richmond Avenue Animal Hospital is their dental care. With services like dental radiology, dental cleaning, and other dental procedures, pet owners don’t have to be wary of their pets leaving the vet with an unhealthy mouth.
Furthermore, we like that all their dental procedures do not involve anesthetics—this creates less trauma for pets who’ve never gone to the vet for dental care. Plus, they have plenty of pet dental goodies available like dental chews and more.

Pros
- Excellent surgical skills
- Specialize in internal veterinary medicine
- Great adaptability
- Wide range of treatments
Cons
- Expensive preventive care services
Memorial Town and Country Animal Clinic is an animal care facility that offers comprehensive and compassionate pet care services.
Many recommended them to us, citing the veterinary team’s excellent surgical skills and willingness to work with pet owners to ensure the best care for their pets.
First of all, we like how they provide a wide range of treatments and services, from the usual cat and dog vaccinations to spaying and neutering, and even to advanced care for senior animals.
Furthermore, their team of experienced veterinarians and support staff is wonderfully helpful and attentive. For example, they demonstrate impeccable care by constantly updating pet owners via phone on the well-being of their pets throughout major surgeries.
We like how they discuss important surgical decisions with owners too. Their approach to pet surgery demonstrates their experience while addressing anything of concern.
Moreover, they also specialize in internal veterinary medicine. The vets in this department are known for being knowledgeable and thorough.
We like how they are willing to take the time to explain to pet parents the details of any recommended procedures or medications.
What stands out to us about this department is that they have access to advanced diagnostic imaging and other equipment that accurately diagnoses a pet’s condition.
As far as preventive care is concerned, though, the cost of services here is too expensive, we think. The actual care provided is good, but we can find similar services elsewhere for lower rates.

Pros
- Friendly staff
- Flexibility in emergency apppointments
Cons
- Lack of communication about tests
- Long wait times
- No explanation of extra fees
Many have commented to us that if you’re looking for a vet with knowledgeable staff and friendly staff with hearts of gold, look no further than Neartown Animal Clinic. On the other hand, some pet parents we spoke to were dissatisfied with their experiences at Neartown Animal Clinic.
To figure out which testaments we should give more weight to, we shadowed veterinarians at Neartown Animal Clinic as they interacted with the local pet parents in their area.
First of all, the clinic itself is stylish and clean. They have a large waiting room that’s big enough to stay separated from other pets if your pet is shy, which we definitely appreciated.
We also like how they have an electronic medical record system so you can upload your pet’s prior vet records and store the new ones.
Yet the wait times for walk-in appointments are ridiculous. It’s not uncommon to come here and wait for over an hour.
Another one of the things we didn’t like about Neartown Animal Clinic is that some of the vets we observed performed tests without the knowledge or consent of pet parents. Furthermore, they failed to provide an adequate explanation for their fees, on occasion.
Regardless, we noted that the entire staff, including front desk employees to the doctors, really were attentive and caring. Our own pets took to them very quickly.
Moreover, the veterinarians here are flexible and have a reputation for accommodating timely emergency appointments, even without prior knowledge.
For example, we like how, despite a tight schedule, the staff finds room for appointments for pet owners with pets diagnosed with terminal illnesses. We got multiple testimonies to this effect.
Additionally, when pet parents get emotional, we noted the veterinary staff maintain their composure and provide a comforting shoulder.
We also like how they offer payment arrangements for emergencies. Also, we like how they kept owners updated by phone and email about pets’ progress under emergency care.

Pros
- Polite staff
- Smooth check-in
- Considerate & knowledgeable vets
Cons
- No emergency services
- Appointment required
Beechnut Animal Hospital is a gem for pets and their parents. Many raved to us about the polite staff and the super-smooth check-in process.
Others told us that they love that the veterinarian staff here understand that pets are valued family members and treat them as such. Overall, we found no shortage of praise for them when doing our surveys.
However, you should note a few things before going to this clinic.
For instance, booking an appointment within a week or less is recommended, depending on the service you need. This animal hospital does not offer emergency services too, and you must have an appointment to be seen.
That said, Dr. Stone and her assistant were super considerate and knowledgeable during our own appointment. We liked how they took their time to explain even minor issues for our poodles.
Pet parents apparently like Dr. Stone for this specific reason – she’s very attentive to detail and conscientious with furparents. They also felt that she maintains a positive attitude and strives to understand patients’ concerns.
When meeting clients, she also explains all options with the advantages and disadvantages of the treatments. We particularly appreciate this because you want to make informed decisions as a pet parent.
Ultimately, the reason to go to this clinic is probably Dr. Stone herself. Her empathy, compassion, and skill at validating pet owners’ feelings and worries helps empower them to find or choose solutions for their pets’ needs.

Pros
- Online pharmacy available
- Family-like atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills
Cons
- Same-day appointments not guaranteed
Dr. Landry, one of the founding vets at Village Veterinary Clinic, was recommended to us as someone who runs a full-service, first-class, and profoundly caring practice. People sent us comments on the helpful and kind nature of the rest of the staff too.
So, we shadowed a local veterinarian at Village Veterinary Clinic to learn more. Happily, we found most of the testimonials people gave us were true: we were definitely impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the family-like atmosphere at this clinic.
From the moment pet parents walk in, the staff greets them with a warm welcome, treating pet owners and their pets with the utmost care and respect.
Additionally, the customer service reputation of the vets at Village Veterinary Clinic is entirely justified. We like how they often do their best to squeeze in same-day appointments, though it’s not always guaranteed.
Furthermore, the vets demonstrate valuable communication skills, at least in our experience. Others also noted that they send clients reminders for the required shots and checkups.
They also take great care to answer any questions and provide enough information to pet parents to know what procedures their pet needs. They even send practical care tips and what to look for in future instances of illnesses.
Something also worth noting about the Village Veterinary Clinic: they have an online pharmacy. This makes it easier for pet owners who don’t need new appointments, just refills of prescribed medicines and other pet care items.
With an online pharmacy of their own, we like how they can breeze through a handful of online orders each day. We also like the benefits of modern veterinary medicine available at their pharmacy and good customer service experiences.
