    • Luxury and bunkhouse suites
    • Dog training and grooming services

    Cons

    • Busy place

Rover Oaks Pet Resort has over 19 years of experience in lodging, grooming, and training dogs for busy owners. They also have a dog daycare for your furry friend.

We love this because nothing teaches more than experience. They have a highly trained staff, clean facilities, and activities designed to keep your pooch active.

They offer luxury suites for pets that need a little pampering, such as senior dogs. These come with plush mattresses, sound-minimizing doors, and the luxury of privacy.

They also have bunkhouse suites for more social pets. All of these come with climate control, housekeeping services, fresh water, and food monitoring.

One of the things we really like about Rover Oaks is the fact that they have an app for easy booking. We think this is really useful for those constantly having to leave their pets.

They also have a loyalty program which comes with a lot of rewards. We really like this because it rewards customers who trust and believe in their care.

We should note that Rover Oaks is a really busy place, and sometimes dog training and daycare can be fully booked for a while.

With a high rate of customer satisfaction, we give Rover Oaks Pet Resort a B+ rating.

    Pros

    • 24/7 access
    • Airport location
    • Swimming pool
    • Rewards program

    Cons

    • Issues with responsiveness

Pet Paradise has multiple locations in the country, with three in Houston alone. Aside from Hobby, there are locations in IAH South and IAH North – Humble.

They offer 24/7 access, early drop-off, and an airport location. We really love these because it makes the stressful experience of leaving your pet that much more convenient for you.

They even offer webcam services, which we absolutely love. This means that you can see for yourself how your pet is doing even if you’re already on the other side of the globe.

They also have a swimming pool for those water-loving pooches. If your dog loves to go for a dip, having a pool around is a huge bonus.

They have indoor and outdoor suites that go for $49 for your first dog, and $32 for any additional dogs. These come with 20 minute playtimes, and for $20 you can add the day camp service.

They also have indoor VIP suites for $85 and $68 for any additional dogs. These come with premium bedding, TV, webcam, extra play, and an ice cream treat.

For convenience, they offer a rewards program for loyal customers and a mobile app for those who would need their services a little more often.

We should note that some clients have expressed difficulty in reaching them over the phone, which we don’t love. Responsiveness is important, especially for busier pet-owners.

Their prices can also be a little expensive, but we believe it isn’t unreasonable for everything you get. With all this in mind, we give Pet Paradise a B rating.

    Pros

    • 20 years of experience
    • Rewards program
    • Referral rewards
    • Good prices for classic suites

    Cons

    • Issues with responsiveness

PetSuites has over two decades of experience in pet care, which we love. This means people have been trusting them with their pets for that long.

Their classic suites offer privacy, plush bedding, three daily potty walks, room service, and housekeeping. It costs $40 a night for your pooch, which we think is a great price.

Their luxury suites offer all of that and a personal TV and a playtime activity package. The personalized packages offer group or individual play and can cost anywhere from $50 to $82.

The playtime packages can definitely get a little expensive, but we should note that they aren’t required for the classic suite. Taking that offer is totally up to you.

They have a mobile app for convenient 24/7 booking, which we love. They also have a rewards program for loyal return customers.

We should also note that they have referral rewards as well. We think this is a good advantage to give people who trust in their services..

Most of the customers we talked to were very happy with their service. However, some expressed that it was sometimes hard to get a hold of them.

We took points off for this because we understand how frustrating it can be when they do not communicate. This is doubly bad for when you’ve already left your pet there.

However, overall, PetSuites is a good place to leave your dog for your travel plans. We give them a rating of B for their high quality services.

    Pros

    • Daily 5-point wellness check
    • Special care wing
    • Puppy packages

    Cons

    • Issues with responsiveness

Meadowlake Pet Resort and Training Center offers pet boarding, dog daycare, dog training, and dog grooming. We think this is a great range of services.

Their boarding services include private cottages with patios and suites. They offer climate control, daily housekeeping and laundry, outdoor potty breaks and routine feedings.

They offer a comprehensive 5-point wellness check daily for your pooch’s wellbeing. We really love this because we understand how anxious some pet owners are to leave their dog behind.

They also have a special care wing for pets who need privacy, and a puppy package. We love this because these pets need extra attention and more monitoring.

They have a number of activities to keep your pet busy, including group and private play, pet portraits, a waterpark, and even tuck-ins and storytimes.

Their standard overnight lodging starts at $39.95 for dogs, which we think is great. We should also note that they give new clients one night free with a minimum of a 3-night stay.

However, the extra customized activity packages can definitely get expensive, which we don’t love.

Some clients also expressed issues with responsiveness, having called multiple times in a day to no answer. We don’t love this, so we took points off for that.

However, Meadowlake Pet Resort and Training Center has a stellar reputation and we believe they earned it. We give them a B+ rating for their professional and courteous service.

    Pros

    • Good prices
    • Cage-free daycare
    • Privacy option

    Cons

    • No large breeds
    • Only basic amenities and services

Happy Snoutz Pet Resort offers professional boarding, daycare, and grooming services for small to medium sized dogs.

Unfortunately, if you have a larger breed, they won’t be able to accommodate your pooch. We took points off for that and recommend you look at our other options.

Their kennels come with climate control, relaxing music, and soft color changing lights. They will be under constant supervision and get playtime with the other dogs.

We should note that Happy Snoutz offers only the most basic services and care for your dog. If your dog is fairly low-maintenance and has no need for frills, this might be a good place to look at.

Their rates for boarding start at $40 a night, and $50 a night during their peak season. We think these are reasonable prices for their services.

For their daycare service, it starts at $17 for a half-day and $27 for a full day. Again, we think these are very good prices.

We love that they are a cage-free daycare with lots of socialization to offer your pup. You can also request privacy should your pup not be the most social.

With a very high customer satisfaction rate, we give HappySnoutz a good B rating for their services.
