Pros
- A lot of performances
- Food vendors in the area
Cons
- Only open on the first Sunday of the month
- Parking is a bit limited
The Hip Hop Vintage Flea Market is one of the most popular clothing events in Houston. This event was started by two friends who used to breakdance together.
At present, this flea market is made up of 60 vendors who sell a variety of things, from vintage t-shirts to paintings.
Fan art can also be found in the market. A lot of the merchandise sold also include references to the hip-hop scene;
What really makes this flea market stand out, apart from its really unique theme, are the live performances.
There are live performances from DJs in the area, different dance numbers, and more. It adds a lot of liveliness to the entire experience, which really makes the whole shopping experience unique.
There are also local food vendors in the area that serve a variety of dishes so you won’t have to worry about going hungry.
A downside with this specific flea market is that they’re only open on the first Sunday of the month. This detail isn’t really clear to many, which is why some people come down only to be met by an empty space.
Also, the parking is a bit limited. This can be a bit of a hassle, especially to those who are new to the area as the parking spaces aren’t clear as well.

Pros
- They have rides
- It’s a very large flea market
- A great option for families
Cons
- Paid parking
- Vendors are allowed to drink
Traders Village Houston is a large multicultural marketplace in Houston. This flea market hosts over 1,500 small local businesses.
On top of that, they also have rides, food, and performances. If you’re looking looking for a really big flea market, this is definitely the place you should go.
They have a variety of vendors that sell diverse items like handicrafts, clothes, toys, and more. You can also get really good deals on the items.
What we like about this flea market is that it’s a place where you can bring your family. Aside from the different shops, you also have the option to avail of unlimited rides for your kids for only $12.
Their food deals are also really worth it. They have a reusable cup that you can purchase for $5 and each refill is worth $0.75.
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you’ll be walking around a lot. Also, bring a stroller to carry all of your stuff with you.
It could also get pretty hot so bring a hat and sunglasses.
A downside is that you have no choice but to avail of their paid parking, but it really isn’t much as the entrance fee is already good for the entire day.
Our biggest issue is that vendors are also allowed to drink so they can get quite rowdy, making it a less comfortable environment for the kids.

Pros
- Live bands every weekend
- Clown show for the kids
- Lots of parking spaces
- Competitive prices
Cons
- The place is a little run down
- Can get quite hot
Houston flea market is another one of the bigger markets in the area. This place has a whole lot of different stalls that sell clothes, toys, electronics, and more.
We like how they have a live band that comes in every weekend. Also, they have clown shows and rides for kids if ever you choose to bring them.
If you’re a fan of karaoke, you’re in luck as they have multiple karaoke booths and machines you can sing your heart out in.
Parking also isn’t an issue as they have a lot of parking space available. You do, however, have to pay $2 on Saturdays and $1 on Sundays.
They have pretty competitive prices too. Most of their items are brand new, so this is the place to go if you’re just looking for cheaply priced things.
However, if you’re looking for second-hand vintage items, you might want to go to another flea market as you can’t really find those in the Houston Flea Market.
We did notice that the place is a little run down. It might need a bit of repair and spruce up but it also isn’t too bad.
Do note, however, that it could get quite hot. They claim that there are indoor and outdoor areas but the ACs don’t work so well.
Make sure to wear something light and comfortable so that you still get an overall good experience.

Pros
- They have hair salons and piercing services
- Affordable food options
- Located indoors
- Free parking on Saturdays
Cons
- Smaller flea market
- The arcade doesn’t work
La Estrella Flea Market is an indoor flea market that has over 200 vendors. They offer a variety of products and services and also have a large assortment of food.
What I like about them is how they have unique services as well. Most flea markets only have different shops so it’s a nice addition giving you more options on what to do while you’re there.
They also have a great assortment of delicious Mexican food located at the front of the store. They have a platillo with 2 types of meat, rice, beans, and tortillas for only $8 that we thoroughly enjoyed.
We liked how this specific flea market is located indoors as outdoor markets can get quite hot. It’s nice not having to worry about getting hot and sweaty as you browse through.
Also, we appreciate how there’s free parking on Sundays. You do have to pay a small fee on Friday and Saturday but this is avoidable if you can come on Sunday instead.
Do note that this flea market is a bit smaller than others. They have a variety of things, but there are more brand-new items than vintage stuff.
Also, their arcade doesn’t work. We spent $6 for their arcade games but most of them were just stuck on a loop and there was no one we could contact about it.

Pros
- Great prices and deals
- Has rides and a garden
Cons
- Most vendors only accept cash
- Paid parking
- Bad cellphone reception
Sunny Flea Market is an outdoor market that sells a variety of brand-new and vintage items. It has a Mexican theme to it that makes the entire interior a lot of lively and colorful.
What we liked is how they have really great prices in almost all of their stalls. They also have great deals and it’s quite easy to bargain with the sellers.
We also appreciated how they have some rides as well for the kids. They also have a nice garden you can roam around if you want to step away from the stalls for a while.
It’s a pretty great place to walk around in given the unique design pieces you can find in the place. Also, the music makes up such a fun and light environment.
You can simply buy a beer, walk around, and have fun.
Do take note, however, that most vendors only accept cash. This can be a hassle since almost all payments are digital now, but just make sure to have cash with you for seamless transactions.
Also, you have to pay $2 for their parking. This isn’t much but it could be a bother if you don’t end up buying anything.
Make sure you’re prepared for bad cellphone reception which can be caused by the large number of people going around. Try to plan meet-up points in case someone in your group gets lost.
