Pros
- Lawyers with a reputation for honesty
- Individualized client care
- High level of professionalism
Cons
- Busy phone lines
Many in the local community only work with reliable lawyers regarding probate, litigation, and estate planning. We found the partners at Hensley & Krueger PLLC notable when it came to probate lawyers and tackling cases, as all of their staff place a premium on honesty.
The only thing is that it was difficult to get hold of them at first. When we first contacted Hensley and Kruger PLLC for a consultation by phone, we didn’t receive an answer until the third time—this could be due to their busy phone lines.
Still, after the consultation and observation of the law firm, we liked how their lawyers were forthright and meticulous in assisting clients with estate planning and probate matters.
Their firm is small enough to provide clients with the individualized care they deserve, and their expertise in estate law is second to none—just as many have raved to us about.
We also liked how Cory Krueger, one of their prominent probate lawyers, maintains a high level of professionalism without sacrificing his kind demeanor.
Furthermore, all of the probate lawyers are quick to respond, patient, and full of helpful suggestions. Since they are a small operation, clients can interact with the proprietors themselves—which is a bonus.

Pros
- Reasonable fees
- Prompt client service
- Clear and concise lawyers
Cons
- No flat fee
Mr. Moore has practiced personal injury, estate planning, and probate law for the past two decades.
From our observations of Mr. Moore’s different law firms throughout Houston, we find it notable that their services are provided promptly, and to the client’s satisfaction.
Aside from probate and personal injury trial law, the firm also focuses on estate planning, real estate, business law, and wills and trusts.
First of all, it is easy for clients to contact the office for a consultation. We like that getting in touch with Moore didn’t require clients to jump through hoops.
However, we didn’t like that there isn’t a flat fee for his legal services. His base fare depends on the specifics of the probate case, which is reasonable, but it can be worrying for someone who doesn’t know what to expect.
Regardless, in less than an hour after an initial message, clients can expect a response from Moore and his free, no-strings-attached advice about their case.
During our consultation, we found Moore to be an excellent litigator who uses clear and concise speech—avoiding ambiguity and flowery language.
Moreover, before each meeting with Moore, clients will receive an email with all the possible necessary paperwork attached. Moore shows consideration for his clients in this way since they can prepare for their in-person meetings by reading the paperwork in advance and jotting down any questions they have.

Pros
- Confident lawyers

Cons

The Heights Law Group assists clients throughout Houston with estate planning, will and trust drafting, and probate matters.
There’s a lot to like about them. For instance, their staff helps their clients navigate the probate process with care so that they can devote their attention to their family and recovery after a recent loss.
We found Heights Law Group’s Amanda Pierson, a notable probate lawyer, to be pleasant and highly confident. She has a talent for simplifying probate law for those who are unfamiliar with it.
Additionally, Pierson was a pleasure to work with and has been described as an exceptional advocate for her clients. She certainly creates a pleasant and stress-free atmosphere while working with clients, so we couldn’t complain about our own experience with her.
She also strategically and professionally manages legal complications, according to other clients we talked to. She brings incalculable value with her understanding of the emotional attitude that litigation develops and her ability to handle it.
Moreover, even if she is going to be out of touch for a while, she still finds time to assist her clients in setting up a durable power of attorney if they need one. It’s hard to ask for more from a lawyer.

Pros
- Lightning-fast probate team
- Accommodating to clients
- Pleasant to collaborate with
Cons
- Expensive
Construction law, real estate law, estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate are this legal company’s primary areas of practice.
Cynthia Fronterhouse of Nimmons & Fronterhouse is a brilliant probate lawyer backed by a highly capable team of assistants. She and her team are lightning-fast, incredibly helpful, and pleasant to collaborate with.
First, we like how Cynthia Fronterhouse is concerned with her client’s well-being. Her promptness demonstrates her care for her clients in working on their cases.
For example, as soon as clients contact her to ask if she could draft a will or DNR, she gets right on it. Moreover, clients can expect to have any necessary paperwork in their hands in a matter of days.
Additionally, when meeting one-on-one with clients, she ensures they understand everything, have everything signed, notarized, and sends her clients on their way in under an hour.
During the consultation, we liked how Fronterhouse also answered her client’s concerns about the probation process forthrightly and made it simple and reasonable for them. Again, we prefer lawyers like this.

We also like how everyone on The Bowen Law Firm P.L.L.C. team is helpful, professional, and courteous. Instead of feeling like you are dealing with a faceless corporation, you feel like you are part of a family.
