Pros
- Creative tacos
- Visiting them on Thursdays
- Brunch entrees are well-made
- Good prices
Cons
- Hookahs aren’t child-friendly
If their creative menu isn’t up to your taste, then their Thursday promos will for sure get you to visit The Honey Hole! And yes, their prices are on the more expensive side – but their flavors are more than make up for that.
We have to commend The Honey Hole on their menu options. They have taken liberty and made some creative menu choices which they pulled off flawlessly. We don’t know what Thh Hotcakes are, but it did taste good so we took the plunge!
Their breakfast options are nice, too! You can choose from the more traditional breakfast options of pancakes and waffles, or go with more savory choices of tacos. Our top picks would have to be the Thh Waffles and Smoked Beef Fajita Tacos, respectively.
The Thh Hotcakes are fluffy and aren’t too sweet, which we liked. The Smoked Beef Fajita Tacos meanwhile come in 3’s with their homemade cheese sauce and is topped with melted cheese, which really evens out the beef’s strong flavor.
But if you want to explore a bit more, then we recommend visiting them on Thursdays since you can mix and match their menus then! They already have a menu you can choose from – so feel free to customize your food to your heart’s content!
In fact, the only problem that we had with The Honey Hole is that they have Hookahs – and yes, it’s on a separate room and is only available during the evenings, but we don’t recommend going near the Hookah if you have children with you.

Pros
- Healthy menu options
- Can accommodate any dietary restrictions
- Plenty of menu options
- Breakfast menu is available until 2 PM on Sundays
Cons
- Hit-or-miss kids menu
A breakfast restaurant in The Galleria Houston that focuses on healthy food for everyone, Original ChopShop is a one-stop-shop for Houstonians who wants to start their day feeling good and looking even better!
The thing that we liked the most about Original ChopShop is their dedication to healthy food. Everything on the menu is healthy and delicious, but they ensure they can also cater to vegans/vegetarians and those with gluten allergies and dairy intolerances.
We also recommend their Protein Shakes if you’re shredding, too! They’re all served with protein powder, and is easy customizable too! You can opt for milk substitutes like almond or oat, along with plant-based protein powders.
Our recommendation from their menu would go to The Club and wash it down with their Jacked Up PB & J. The Club’s multi-grain house bun is toasted nicely and goes with the turkey and bacon, and the Jacked Up PB & J is just the nice amount of sweet.
Though their healthy approach did win us over, we couldn’t say the same for their kids’ menu. Yes, it’s all healthy meals, but it’s some kids don’t like whole wheat bread on their sandwiches. And unfortunately, they use that kind for everything on the kids’ menu.
But if your kids won’t be eating, then we recommend visiting them if you can. They also serve breakfasts until 2 PM on Sundays too!

Pros
- High-end breakfast spot
- Lots of entree options
- Brunch specials are a must-try
- Easily accessible
Cons
- Expensive brunch menu
A more high-end breakfast place in The Galleria Houston, The Annie Cafe & Bar is a class act on what a fine dining breakfast-slash-brunch place should be, especially in a nice area like The Galleria.
We really have to commend their posh menu. They know their target market, and know them well to cater to their needs. The menu is well curated and well-made, with lots of delicious items.
If we have to take a pick off their menu, we’d have to go with their Fried Quail Brunch. The gravy and the scrambled egg even out the quail’s natural flavor nicely. But if you’re looking for something light, then their King Crab Louie is good, too.
Now, if their menu items sound a bit too high-end, then you’ll be right. The cheapest menu item that you can buy from their brunch menu will set you back $18. And yes, the King Crab Louie is delicious, but it costs $68, without taxes.
But when you dine at The Annie Cafe & Bar, you get what you pay for – the flavors are beyond, and they have outdoor seating too! And even if they’re right in the middle of the city, the atmosphere is light and airy. But maybe it’s because of their white fixtures.

Pros
- French pastries!
- Soups and salads are well-made
- Good drinks selection
- Special menu items are a must-try
Cons
- Special menu runs out fast
Craving for a French breakfast in The Galleria Houston? Our tip – try out French Riviera Bakery Cafe and enjoy the taste of France while you’re in Houston!
French Riviera Bakery Cafe sells themselves as the best of both worlds – a viennoiserie (shop serving breakfast pastries), and a patisserie (shop specializing in sweet pastries) at the same time.
And we can tell you from our experience that they’re more than that! We really liked their breakfast options – and the fact that all of their bread is made fresh every day, ala what you can see in Paris daily.
Their fresh pastry, along with their special menu items, really sealed the deal for us. Our top picks? Their Almond Croissant is their best-seller for a good reason. But if you can’t get a hold of that, then their Pain Au Chocolat is a good runner-up.
Now, we have to mention that their special menu items are special for a reason – and that’s because they’re so good, they sell out really fast. So if you want to try out their excellent Almond Croissant, then you’ll have to move fast.
Overall though, we still liked French Riviera Bakery Cafe – it’s like a little taste of Paris at home for us! Better still – add an order of their Honey Milk Latte to make your experience that much more authentic.

Pros
- Authentic empanadas
- Promo prices for bulk purchases
- Nice coffee and tea selections
- Creative empanada flavors
Cons
- Mostly empanadas
Although Patagonia isn’t exactly known for their breakfast food, Little Patagonia aims their targets straight at being the best breakfast spot in The Galleria Houston with their delicious empanadas!
Now, we have to start off with a warning: if you’re looking for options other than empanadas, then you’re better off looking somewhere else. Don’t get us wrong, Little Patagonia’s empanadas are great, but they only have them on their menu.
However, Little Patagonia more than makes up for it with the astounding variety on their empanadas! From breakfast to gourmet empanadas, they have everything empanada-related,
We really have to give our roses to their Eggs, Bacon & Cheese Empanada. It’s a huge empanada and is like an entire breakfast in one bite. But if you want a more traditional option, then their Ham & Cheese is a good savory choice, too.
Then again, there’s so much more to Little Patagonia than just their empanadas – their coffee and tea selections are great, too! Everything goes well with their food, but are also great if all you want is a go-go juice to get your morning started.
If we have to pick, try out their Hot Chocolate, or if you don’t like hot drinks, then the Iced Cafe Mocha will be your best pick. Both are not overwhelmingly sweet, and is the perfect pick-me-up to start your day right.
