1. Sour Vida

Website: https://sourvida.com/
Areas Served: Houston and beyond
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sour Vida is a boutique sourdough micro-bakery that brings small-batch organic baked goods and hands-on sourdough classes. You leave the class with a jar of starter to kickstart your baking journey.
Their treats stand out because they’re made from scratch using a family sourdough starter passed down through generations.
Because of this, they result in absolute perfection with an incredibly rich profile you won’t find in a typical bake shop. You can also find artisan loaves, brownies, bagels, and scones available to order.
But since this is a made-to-order micro-bakery, don’t expect instant cookie availability. You can order on their website for delivery or find them at markets around town.
All so yummy!
…Arielle supplied all of the ingredients, recipe and her grandmother’s 85 year old sourdough starter—the class was 2 hours long and she gave us so much information, insider tips, and advice. She provided snacks and drinks and let us sample cookies, pretzels, and brownies that she bakes with sourdough. All so yummy! She also offers these goodies for sale at the end of class but this is totally optional!
Overall, the class was enjoyable and I left feeling confident about my new sourdough baking journey.

The best CC cookie I have ever had!
…I can’t recommend her class enough. If you’re stuck or have a question after the class, she is only a message away and very helpful. I’m so thankful my husband suggested her class! Best time ever.
I was also able to sample her some of her baked goods and purchase some of her sourdough chocolate chip cookies…they do not last longer than 10 minutes when I got home. The best CC cookie I have ever had!

One of the best most solid cookies I’ve had
First time in YEARS in Houston and I came to have me a little sugar cone with the vanilla crunch icecream and a chocolate chip cookie. Usually cookies I’ve tried before get a little hard even hours later but no…. Not here… INFACT it was one of the best most solid cookies I’ve had. I really wish I would’ve had some milk to go with it when I ate it. The chocolate chip cookie was everything my heart wanted. I can’t wait to come back. 10/10 basically you walk up, place your order and you’re all set to go

The cookies were very soft, fresh and flavorful
We came to do an escape room at Locktopia and saw this place next door so stopped in. The employees were very friendly and helpful! The cookies were very soft, fresh and flavorful! THE BEST cookies I’ve ever had
These are THE BEST cookies I’ve ever had. I have been a Tiffs Treats girly for the longest time, but Michael’s cookie jar has stolen my heart!. It makes it even easier since my husband’s name is Michael too lol. I love this place. They ALWAYS taste fresh! They taste homemade, not like they are mass produced on an assembly line. Love it here! I just need him to open one in Katy or Cypress. lol

The best cookies in Houston
Pudgys has the best cookies in houston in my opinion. I love introducing their cookies to others because they never disappoint. They have rotating flavors that are always fun to try but their regular flavors are great. I always order the oatmeal raisin cookie because it is so well done.

The cookies are soo thick and yummy
Found a hidden gem and definitely underrated!!! Loved the varieties of options and as mentioned the cookies are soo thick and yummy, not sugary at all like those other cookie places, definitely worth trying it and then you’ll get addicted!!!!! I can’t wait to go back and try their ice creams next time. A cute indoor spot and free parking lot right infront of it. My rating 5/5.

My cookie shop of choice in the Heights
The Bearded Baker has the best oatmeal cream pies! I called them on July 4th to see if they were open and to ask if they had any. They said they had sold out and just had some peanut butter ones. I told them I would be by in an hour and when I arrived they had made a fresh batch for me! They went above and beyond…they’re my cookie shop of choice in the Heights.
