Treatment Customization: We looked for spas offering personalized scalp analysis and targeted solutions. Establishments with multiple service durations scored higher in our rankings.

Value for Money: Comparing the base price against the included perks helps determine true value. Services that included blow-dry finishing and complimentary consultations naturally stood out.

Relaxation Features: A great head spa must deliver exceptional tension relief and physical comfort. We prioritized locations adding elements like hot stones or hydrotherapy rings.

Specialized Expertise: Facilities run by licensed cosmetologists or certified trichologists provide safer, more effective treatments. Checking their background ensures your scalp health stays in capable hands.

It was soooo amazing!

This was my 1st experience at a head spa and it was soooo amazing! I got the heavenly halo package and it was absolutely heavenly! We also added on the hot towel cold stone facial massage and it was such a unique experience 10/10 recommend! Lily Lily was so great and so was the lady who did my daughter’s hair. They were so sweet and helpful and did a wonderful job, I did not want to come back to reality after it was done!! It was definitely worth every dollar I spent.

Address: 1051 Heights Blvd Suite 130

Contact: 281-900-6360

Hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

pH Head Spa blends traditional Japanese head spa techniques with advanced trichology, making it a strong option for people who want to focus on scalp health rather than relaxation alone.

They use premium medical-grade products and follow a detailed five-step process that includes scalp analysis, pre-wash and detox, steaming, scalp massage, and a treatment mask.

I recently stopped by to try their deep exfoliation process, and the personalized scalp analysis really opened my eyes to my specific needs.

There are multiple session lengths available, so you can choose a treatment based on your schedule and concerns. Their longest package is designed to address issues such as dandruff and scalp odor.

I also appreciated that a basic blow-dry is included afterward.

However, guests with sensitive scalps may want to discuss the exfoliation and scrubbing techniques beforehand, as the process may feel more intensive.

Pros

  • Advanced trichology scalp analysis
  • Premium medical-grade products used
  • Flexible session length options
  • Addresses specific dandruff concerns

Cons

  • Exfoliating brush feels slightly rough
  • Treatment might feel overstimulating

My scalp feels so clean afterward!

I had my first head spa treatment & facial today and it was WONDERFUL! It was very relaxing 😌 and my scalp feels so clean afterward! Also my face looks really fresh and hydrated after the facial ☺️ All of the skin care products were gentle on my skin and smelled great, the same with the hair care products! I liked how the owner also takes pictures of your scalp before and after so you can see what a difference the treatment makes. If you’re looking for a relaxing treatment for yourself, this is it! 😃

Was soothing from start to finish, with gentle scalp massage

An incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Hong is the best! She gave amazing product advice. The Japanese head spa treatment was soothing from start to finish, with gentle scalp massage, warm water therapy, and calming aromatherapy that melted away all stress. My hair and scalp felt deeply cleansed and refreshed, and I left feeling completely zen. Highly recommend for anyone needing a moment of total relaxation.

Nhiên offers an authentic Vietnamese head spa experience rooted in holistic wellness and deep relaxation.

Both of their signature treatments feature a unique hydro waterfall element for extra sensory relief. You also get a mini facial and full blow-dry included in the standard packages.

If you want a longer escape, their extended option adds sound healing and energy balancing. You can easily bundle this appointment with a manicure or pedicure since they operate as a full wellness center.

On the downside, their strict same-day cancellation policy can result in unexpected fees. Also, a few visitors felt the nail finishing services lacked attention to detail.

Pros

  • Authentic Vietnamese wellness techniques
  • Soothing hydro waterfall therapy
  • Combines scalp and facial care
  • Sound healing options available

Cons

  • Strict same-day cancellation fees
  • Nail services sometimes lack precision

Totally worth it

Really enjoyed my head spa experience! La Vie was so nice and did an amazing job. I booked the $140 head spa and it was totally worth it — it included hand, arm, face, and head massage, which felt so relaxing. My hair felt incredibly smooth and soft afterward. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to unwind and treat yourself. I will definitely come back!

Website: https://dvbeautyheadspa.com/

Address: 10804 B Bellaire Blvd

Contact: (313) 831-6868

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Dovera specializes in a Vietnamese-style head spa experience. Their treatments feature herbal hair-washing stages, scalp care, and extensive massage work targeting areas such as the head, neck, shoulders, and arms.

A friend of mine visits regularly for tension relief and always raves about the soothing water-arch therapy, which adds a relaxing hydrotherapy element to the experience.

I like that Dovera offers four treatment lengths, from a quick 35-minute refresh to a more comprehensive 135-minute session that includes features such as singing-bowl meditation, facial care, foot treatments, and multiple herbal hair-washing steps.

The pricing is also clearly listed for each treatment, making it easier to compare options before booking.

However, some guests have reported experiencing unexpected neck adjustments during massage sessions. Others have noted that water can occasionally splash into the nose during the facial portion, which may be uncomfortable.

Pros

  • Relaxing herbal hair washing
  • Excellent water-arch hydrotherapy
  • Four flexible treatment lengths
  • Transparent and clear pricing

Cons

  • Unprompted neck adjustments reported
  • Water splashing during the facial

Incredibly relaxing and thoughtfully done

After the session, I felt so refreshed, stress-free, and clear-headed. The space is clean, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. Definitely a place I’ll come back to. Highly recommend if you need to relax and recharge!

5. Scalphq Head & Scalp Spa

Website: https://scalphq.com/

Address: 13505 Westheimer Road

Contact: 3466464296

Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

ScalpHQ combines ancient Asian head spa reflexology with trichology to put a strong emphasis on scalp and hair wellness.

Founded by a board-certified trichologist, the spa offers a complimentary scalp assessment that can help guide you toward a treatment suited to your needs.

I also like that you can receive a Scalp Report outlining your scalp-care needs, making the experience feel more personalized.

Their menu includes targeted services such as the Scalp Bliss Detox and Scalp Healing Ayurvedic Herbal Mask, giving you options based on different hair and scalp concerns.

They also sell scalp-care products, including serums, massagers, and other accessories, so you can continue their routine at home.

One consideration for those with very long hair is that the blow-drying process may not fully dry the hair in one session. Online shoppers should also be aware that some product orders may experience longer-than-expected shipping times.

Pros

  • Founded by a certified trichologist
  • Complimentary scalp health assessments
  • Detailed post-treatment scalp reports
  • Targeted Ayurvedic herbal masks

Cons

  • Blow dryers struggle with long hair
  • Occasional product shipping delays

His scalp looks so much better than before

My hubby loved his experience! They are only open on the days he works, but they were able to make an exception for his birthday/Father’s Day. They were very helpful and accommodating. His scalp looks so much better than before his appointment, and he really enjoyed the treatment. Monique did an amazing job! Thank you for making his birthday/father’s day relaxing and enjoyable!
