Pros

  • Well-maintained facilities
  • Offers lessons and clinics
  • Hosts tournaments

Cons

  • Can get crowded during peak hours
  • Some courts may be reserved for events

We’re here to serve up our take on Memorial Park Tennis Center. We’ve been hitting the courts at this place for a while now, so we thought we’d give you the lowdown on what makes it a slam dunk.

The Memorial Park has it all: maintained courts, hitting walls, and even a pro shop where you can stock up on gears. We’ve played on a lot of courts in our day, but these are some of the best we’ve ever set foot on.

Memorial Park was super easy to get to, no matter where we were coming from. It’s located right in the heart of Memorial Park, so we can hit the courts after a morning jog and a picnic with friends.

The coaches at Memorial Park are legit. They gave us pointers on our serve, our backhand, and even our footwork.

Plus, they were super chill and easy to talk to. It was like having our own personal coach, but without the weird sweatbands.

Playing tennis can be expensive, but the prices at Memorial Park are totally reasonable. It’s only $6 per person for a one-hour court rental, which is basically the cost of a latte at Starbucks.

But listen up, tennis aficionados. While it’s a great place to play, be warned: it can get crowded during peak hours.

Sometimes, certain courts may also be reserved for events, which can put a damper on your day.

Despite these hiccups, we’re fans of Memorial Park Tennis Center. The courts are great, the coaches are awesome, and the prices are totally affordable.

Pros

  • Affordable pricing
  • Well-lit courts for nighttime play
  • Plenty of court availability

Cons

  • Facilities may not be as well-maintained
  • Not as centrally located as other facilities

We recently hit up the Lee LeClear Tennis Center Park, and boy, were we impressed. This park is a tennis player’s paradise, complete with skilled instructors and reasonable costs.

Lee LeClear has ample parking available, so you won’t have to waste time circling the lot like you’re looking for the “One Ring.”

The coaches are some of the best in the business. Not only were they skilled and knowledgeable, but they were also extra patient.

If you’re looking for group lessons or clinics, they’ve got you covered there too. It’s like having the Avengers of tennis coaching at your disposal.

We know tennis can be an expensive sport, but Lee LeClear keeps it affordable without skimping on quality. With court fees starting at just $5 an hour, we got our Serena Williams game face on without breaking the bank.

Unfortunately, the facilities at Lee LeClear may not be as well-maintained as we had hoped, which disappointed us a bit.

And we’ve to admit, Lee LeClear isn’t as centrally located as some other facilities, which is a bit of a bummer.

Overall, we recommend checking out Lee LeClear Tennis Center Park for your tennis needs. With skilled instructors and reasonable costs, it’s a good slam of a park.

Looking for a new spot to hit some balls in Houston? We’ve got the lowdown on Homer Ford Tennis Center, and it’s terrific.

This place has got it all — tennis courts, locker rooms, and even a pro shop for all your gear needs. And if you’re looking for a break from the heat, they’ve got shaded pavilions too.

Homer Ford is conveniently accessible near major highways and from all corners of the city. So no matter where you’re coming from, you can easily swing by for a game.

We loved the instructors at Homer Ford because they were willing to work with us to improve our skills. Trust us, you won’t regret booking a lesson or two with them.

We’re happy to tell you Homer Ford won’t break the bank. In our opinion, it’s quite affordable compared to other tennis centers in the area.

While the location and staff were great, we were a bit frustrated with the facilities. They seemed to be in need of some maintenance, which took away from our overall experience.

And be warned, it can get pretty crowded during peak hours, which can be a bummer.

Nevertheless, with knowledgeable instructors and reasonable pricing, it’s no wonder Homer Ford Tennis Court is one of the faves among tennis lovers in the area. Go ahead and give it a shot.

Pros

  • Well-maintained facilities
  • Offers a variety of programs and events
  • Beautiful location surrounded by trees

Cons

  • Limited availability for non-members
  • No indoor courts

We recently spent some time at Lost Forest Tennis Club, played a few games, and checked out all the amenities, accessibility, instructors, and cost. And we have one thing to say: impressive.

We were blown away by the facilities at Lost Forest. The courts were immaculate, the equipment was top-notch, and there were plenty of shaded areas to take a break and cool off.

Accessibility-wise, Lost Forest is a real gem. It’s located in the heart of Houston, which means it’s easy to get to no matter where you are in the city.

The instructors were the real MVPs here. They made us feel like champions in no time.

They were patient, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor, which is always a plus in our book. They’re like the Mr. Miyagi of tennis, but with more jokes and less wax on, wax off.

Now, we know what you’re thinking — “Is it worth it?” And our answer is a resounding yes.

The prices at Lost Forest are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the facilities. It’s like getting a bargain deal on Amazon Prime Day, but instead of a fancy new gadget, you get to improve your tennis game.

Unfortunately, the limited availability for non-members at this venue was a bit of a disappointment. It would’ve been great to have more options for those who aren’t members.

And if you’re looking for a tennis club with indoor courts, this isn’t it. Lost Forest has zero indoor courts, so you might want to bring a raincoat and an umbrella just in case Mother Nature decides to play a game, too.

All in all, we had a blast at Lost Forest Tennis Club, and we can’t wait to go back.
