With such credentials, it’s no surprise that Dr. Gauvain specializes in foot and ankle surgery. He performs total ankle replacements, minimally invasive procedures such as ankle arthroscopy, and corrective bunion and hammertoe surgeries.

There are also those who come in for fracture care, sports-related injuries, and sprains. 

Patients praise the smooth experience and real results. One even decided to stay on as a regular after expressing trust in Dr. Gauvain and his team’s ability to help her walk on her right foot again.

As efficient as the process has been for most—physical exam, X-ray, diagnosis, and treatment plan—a lack of expertise in hammertoes did lead to cancelled surgeries. Also, costs were confusing due to incomplete breakdowns.
